Energiesparen und-effizienz sind lediglich in Hinblick auf moderne Technologien von Großanlagen ein Thema. Energiesparen auf Haushaltsebene im kirgisischen Dorf hingegen ist ein innovativer Ansatz, der seit zehn Jahren von Schweizer Entwicklungsorganisationen verfolgt wird. Dieser Artikel will zeigen, dass ein koordiniertes Vorgehen von Infrastruktursanierung zusammen mit Energiesparen auf Haushaltsebene große Synergien aufweist. Ein solcher Ansatz fehlt allerdings in Kirgistan noch auf der energiepolitischen Agenda.
