Purpose of the research; The aim of this study is to examine the mathematics anxiety-anxiety levels of secondary school students in terms of grade level, school type and gender variables. The population of the research consists of secondary school students, and the sample consists of a total of 594 students, 359 girls and 235 boys, living in Istanbul and studying at the secondary school level. As a data collection tool, "Personal Information Form" and "Math Anxiety-Anxiety Scale" (MAS) developed by Ikegulu (1998) and analyzed by Özdemir and Gür (2011) were used. In line with the results and comparisons, the results of the research can be shared with the mathematics teachers working in public and private schools and supported by qualitative study methods, and an in-depth examination of the causes can be carried out. In addition, within the scope of the guidance activities carried out in schools, the results of the research can be benefited from in the mathematics anxiety-anxiety studies. The research can be expanded by working with different sample groups.
