In sera of the animals' triglyceride, total cholesterol and high density lipoprotein levels were determined. Very low density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein levels were calculated from an equation. In conclusion, as a consequnce of raise in triglyceride, total cholesterol, VLDL-C and LDL-C fraction (p ≤ 0.05) lipid profile was altered. In HDL-C levels no significant changes was observed (p ≥ 0.05). Similarity of altered lipid profile in both renal failure and chronical florosis made us think that these results were because of kidney damage due to high floride levels.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
