The search for optimal control algorithms for spacecrafts is one of the key areas in rocket and space technology. Taking into account certain restrictions and requirements in a specific space mission, the selection of certain executive devices of the spacecraft is carried out and the corresponding control law is synthesized. One of such space missions is the providing of angular motion stabilization of a utilized spacecraft with aeromagnetic deorbiting system. The stabilization of spacecraft angular motion is needed for the orientation of aerodynamic element perpendicular to the vector of atmosphere dynamic flux with the aim of increasing of aerodynamic braking force. In this mission, the main optimization criterion is the minimization of the on-board electrical energy consumption which is needed for the control of angular motion. The original construction of the aeromagnetic deorbiting system consists of aerodynamic flat sails element and executive control devices with permanent magnets. However, not all spacecraft can be equipped with additional executive control devices with permanent magnets. That’s why with the aim of expansion of aeromagnetic deorbiting system application, using extra source of electromagnetic control executive devices is proposed in this research. The purpose of the article is the search of the control law which provides minimal consumption of electrical on-board energy by electromagnetic control executive devices during long-term deorbiting mission. For satisfying this criterion of optimization using of mobile control methods to orientate the spacecraft with aeromagnetic deorbiting system are proposed in this investigation. Computer modeling of orbital motion of spacecraft with aeromagnetic deorbiting system show the efficiency of using proposed mobile methods for angular motion control which realized by electromagnetic devices – magnetorquers. It has been showed that because of using mobile control method consumption of on-board electrical energy significantly less than with classical approach. The advantages and disadvantages have been determined.

The development and application of inflatable space structures is of considerable interest in modern space science and technology. Today, these structures enjoy wide application from aerodynamic inflatable deorbit means to inflatable residential sections for the International Space Station. This is because the masses of inflatable structures are smaller in comparison with others, which in turn minimizes the cost of their orbital injection. In view of the considerable interest in orbital constellations, the authors of this article propose the use of an inflatable space aerodynamic system as a platform for a payload. In doing so, we obtain a distributed satellite system on an inflatable space platform. The advantage of this technology is that it assures the maintenance of the relative position of the elements (payload) of a distributed satellite system of this type with minimal energy consumption. In its turn, to analyze the features of the operation of a particular space technology, its mathematical model is required. Because if this, the aim of the article is to develop a mathematical model for estimating the design parameters of an inflatable payload-bearing space platform. The mathematical model of the operation of an inflatable payload-bearing space platform developed in this work consists of three modules: a module of orbital motion, a module of calculation of the thermodynamic parameters of the inflatable platform, and a module of calculation of its variable inertia tensor. The article also identifies four gas modes of operation of the inflatable segment of the space platform and gives the inertia tensor as a function of the ambient temperature, which is necessary for further research. It should be noted that the application of the mathematical model allows a priori analysis of a wide range of inflatable space platform design parameters. On this basis, a design parameter analysis method that uses this model was developed. The application of this method may greatly simplify further research into the synthesis of an angular motion controller for an inflatable payload-bearing space platform, the choice of the design parameters of inflatable segment shell materials, and the study of the platform operation in different gas modes.
A search for optimal solutions in the development and making of means for spacecraft removal from near-Earth operational orbits is the key problem in the solution of the global problem of space debris in near-Earth space. Taking into account the trend to the build-up of space debris in near-Earth orbits, the Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee every year takes a number of measures aimed at searching for the most advantageous engineering solutions on the development of efficient means for space debris removal from operational orbits. This paper analyzes the features of the development of optimal means for spacecraft removal from near-Earth operational orbits. The main efficiency criteria in the development of optimal methods and means for spacecraft deorbit are as follows: minimizing the space debris deorbit time, increasing the reliability of space debris deorbit means, and minimizing the propellant and power consumption for space debris removal.Taking into account the above optimization criteria, the paper presents a comprehensive analysis of existing methods and means for space debris removal from low-Earth orbits and shows their anticipated advantages and drawbacks. Three basic tasks of missions aimed at space debris removal from near-Earth space are identified. A fourth task of space debris removal from near-Earth space, which has resulted from the evolving new concept of in-orbit space debris processing with the use of in-orbit service spacecraft and platforms, is identified and substantiated too. A multicriteria comprehensive comparative analysis of the best known concepts of the development and making of means for space debris removal from near-Earth orbits is presented. The features of the development of combined space debris deorbit means based on several existing methods for active and passive space debris removal from low-Earth orbits are considered. The principal aim of the development of combined hybrid space debris deorbit means of this type is a search for engineering solutions that would meet the above-mentioned efficiency criteria as closely as possible. The comprehensive multicriteria analysis of the currently available means for space debris removal from low-Earth orbits and the features of the development of hybrid space debris deorbit means demonstrates the advisability of further studies along this line.
