Objetivo: Traçar o perfil epidemiológico da infecção por hepatite B na cidade de Teresina-PI. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo documental, quantitativo e descritivo, realizado no período de junho a outubro de 2020, através dos casos de hepatite B notificados no banco de dados do SINAN, na versão SINAN NET, disponibilizados pelo Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS), no período de 2014 a 2018. Os dados foram organizados em planilha digital Microsoft Office Excel 2019 e apresentados em tabelas, ordenadas por caracteres quantitativos, adotando como critério de distribuição a amostra e porcentagem, com o auxílio dos programas computacionais TabWin versão 4.1.5. Resultados: Foram contabilizados 32 casos, com maior incidência para os anos de 2014 e 2017, ambos reagentes para o marcador sorológico HBsAg, tendo predomínio para o gênero feminino, idade entre 20 e 39 anos e manifestado na forma crônica, sendo a atividade sexual a principal via de transmissão. Conclusão: Teresina tem alta endemicidade, com prevalência para a idade, meio de contaminação e diagnóstico clínico manifestado.
RESUMO:A qualidade de vida (QV) não significa apenas a ausência de doença, mas envolve o bem-estar físico, psicológico, social e ambiental. Partindo do conceito de QV, o estudo busca investigar a QV e seus domínios em pacientes adolescentes em tratamento oncológico. Trata-se de uma pesquisa do tipo descritivo, exploratório e transversal, com uma abordagem quantitativa, realizada de agosto a dezembro de 2019, submetida e aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa do Centro Universitário UNIFACID sob parecer 2.271.284. Participaram 22 adolescentes com diagnóstico de câncer, com predomínio de faixa etária entre 10 e 15 anos (59,1%), pardos (68,2%) e sem predomínio quanto ao gênero. 63,6% eram naturais do interior do estado, todos alfabetizados. 77,3% (n=17) avaliam sua vida regular para os domínios físico (63,6%, n=14), psicológico (59,1%, n=13), relações sociais (50%, n=11) e meio ambiente (72,7%, n=16). Introdução: A doença denominada COVID-19 ou 2019-nCoV, se iniciou em 2019, em Wuhan na China. Segundo dados internacionais, obtidos do dia 22 de agosto de 2020, o Brasil encontra-se em 2º em número de casos confirmados e em 2º em número de óbitos. O coronavírus é um problema de saúde atual e urgente, que possui distribuição mundial. Objetivo: O objetivo deste trabalho é realizar uma revisão sistemática, demostrando os principais sintomas e o diagnóstico do COVID-19. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática, utilizando bancos de dados da BVS, SCIELO, SCIENCEDIRECT e MEDLINE, LILACS. Resultados e Discussão: A sintomatologia dos casos de COVID-19, varia entre casos leves e graves. Os testes rápidos são utilizados para a detecção de anticorpos IgM e IgG por meio da metodologia de cromatografia de fluxo lateral, podendo ser usadas nos testes: plasma, soro e o sangue total do paciente. A detecção do vírus por RT-PCR em tempo real, é o teste padrão ouro em sua identificação, sendo o teste para pacientes sintomáticos na fase aguda, seu diagnóstico possui alta sensibilidade e especificidade. Conclusão: Esta pesquisa ressalta a importância dos testes laboratoriais para o diagnóstico preciso do COVID-19, sendo o teste de RT-PCR o mais indicado para detecção do SARS-CoV-2.
