O presente artigo tem como objetivo participar da discussão acerca das multifacetadas relações entre futebol e manifestações políticas no Brasil. Constatamos que existem três interpretações correntes a respeito dessas relações no debate público, nas quais: 1) o futeboldistancia os sujeitos da busca por seus interesses políticos; 2) futebol e política deveriam ser duas esferas totalmente separadas da vida social; 3) a experiência como torcedores de futebol é uma má influência para os cidadãos em seus comportamentos políticos. Para argumentar contra essas interpretações, observamos três momentos de manifestaçõespolíticas entre 2013 e 2020 que se relacionam de maneiras distintas com o futebol: os atos públicos contra a Copa do Mundo de 2014 da FIFA; as manifestações antipetistas e bolsonaristas; os protestos de torcedores contra Bolsonaro em meio à pandemia de COVID-19. Concluímos que o contexto do futebol pode oferecer múltiplas formas de cidadania e politização frequentemente insuficientes em outros espaços da vida social do país.
Resumo:A temática da racionalidade possui uma centralidade quase incomparável no pensamento moderno e, portanto, nas Ciências Humanas como um todo, apesar das diversas críticas que foram feitas ao longo das últimas décadas à ideia de que o ser humano é um ser predominante ou essencialmente racional. No presente artigo, discutimos como essa temática se mantém presente na Ciência Política, através da análise de três obras exemplares da teoria política durante os últimos vinte anos, todas pertencentes a diferentes filiações teóricas. A partir das abordagens de Hendrik Spruyt, Charles Tilly e Carles Boix, pretendemos mostrar como o pensamento contemporâneo acerca do Estado moderno continua pautado pela problemática da racionalidade. Concluímos que, de maneiras distintas e em diversos graus de explicitude, os três autores atribuem centralidade ao papel da racionalidade dos agentes sociais tanto em processos relativos à formação do Estado moderno quanto em processos de democratização e desdemocratização. Resumen:El tema de la racionalidad tiene una centralidad casi incomparable en el pensamiento moderno y, por lo tanto, en todas las disciplinas de las Humanidades, pese a las innúmeras críticas que han sido hechas, al largo de las últimas décadas, a la idea según la cual el ser humano es, esencial y predominantemente un ser racional. En el presente artículo, nosotros discutimos la actualidad de ese tema en la Ciencia Política a través del análisis de tres obras ejemplares de la teoría política de los últimos veinte años, todas pertenecientes a ramas teóricas distintas. Partiendo de los abordajes de Hendrik Spruyt, Charles Tilly y Carles Boix, intentamos demostrar el pensamiento contemporáneo acerca del Estado moderno continua estando marcado por la problemática de la racionalidad. Llegamos a la conclusión de que, por caminos distintos y con diferentes niveles de explicitud, los tres teóricos atribuyen centralidad al papel de la racionalidad de los agentes sociales en los procesos de formación del Estado moderno y los procesos de democratización y desdemocratización. Abstract:Rationality has an almost incomparable centrality in the modern thought and, therefore, in all Humanities' academic disciplines, despite the several criticisms that have been made towards the idea that the human being is essentially or mainly a rational throughout the past few decades.
