The challenge of the IEEE 802.15.4 beacon-enabled mode is how to improve throughput and bandwidth utilization in contention access period (CAP) and contention free period (CFP), respectively. This article proposes a scheme to improve IEEE 802.15.4 medium access control, called superframe duration adjustment scheme (SUDAS), which analyzes the overall of the IEEE 802.15.4 not only CAP but also CFP. SUDAS is expected to effectively allocate guaranteed time slot to the requested devices, it adjusts the length of the slot in superframe duration based on the length of the packet data. This article also presents a comprehensive Markov chain analysis for SUDAS, especially for star topology, to predict the probability of successful transmission, network goodput, average bandwidth utilization, as well as total network energy consumption. The validity of the analytical model is proven by closely matching the simulation experiments. SUDAS performs better than other algorithms in terms of the probability of successful packet transmission, network goodput, average bandwidth utilization, and total energy consumption.
COVID pandemic has influenced human life in various sectors. Various attempts were made to reduce the virus transferring by work from home, social distancing, and also including hand hygiene. So far, most of the available hand sanitizers do not operate automatically. This article aims to make an automatic hand sanitizer where soap and water can come out automatically. Besides that, automated hand sanitizer will make notification to the owner, if the liquid has run out to the smartphone. The infrared (IR) will sense the presence of heat and motion of the object with the distance up to 50mm. It send data to the Arduino Nano to activate the pump. If the ultrasonic sensor detect the distance of water to he sensor 35 cm it will send data to node MCU that connect to Blink server. It can transfer the data to the output devices such as smartphones or PC based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The results of the hand sanitizer testing that the system can run smoothly with a minimum detection error of transferring data.
ABSTRAKKetersediaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang mumpuni merupakan modal utama dalam membangun suatu bangsa. Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) adalah pendidikan menengah yang didesain untuk mempersiapkan generasi bangsa untuk bias bekerja sesuai dengan kompetensi keahlian masing-masing. Pendidikan menengah kejuruan mengutamakan pengembangan kemampuan pesertadidik untuk melaksanakan jenis pekerjaan tertentu.SMK dibangun untuk tujuan membentuk tenaga kerja yang terampil, siap kerja, dan berdaya saing. Sehingga melalui pendidikan pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) diharapkan dapat membantu akan pemenuhan tenaga kerja yang terampil dan kompeten dalam bidangnya. Pertumbuhan penduduk yang sangat cepat berakibat pada meningkatnya jumlah angkatan kerja. Semakin banyak jumlah angkatan kerja yang tidak terserap maka akan meningkatkan jumlah pengangguran. SMK sebagai pranata pendidikan jenjang menengah seharusnya menjadi pilihan utama yang menyiapkan lulusannya siap pakai di DU/DI. Hal ini karena tujuan utama pendidikan SMK adalah menyiapkan SDM unggul yang siap pakai pada dunia kerja, memiliki kepemimpinan tinggi, disiplin, profesional, handal di bidangnya dan produktif. Melihat ketimpangan yang terjadi antara harapan dengan fakta yang ada, maka perlu dilakukan kajian mendalam terhadap faktor-faktor penyebab SMK menjadi penyumbang terbesar dalam pegangguran terbuka sehingga akan dapat dibuat rumusan rekomendasi sebagai solusi atas permasalahan yang ada. Vocational High School (SMK) is a secondary education that is designed to prepare the nation's generation to be able to work in accordance with their respective expertise competencies. Vocational secondary education prioritizes the development of the ability of students to carry out certain types of work. SMK is built for the purpose of creating a skilled, work-ready, and competitive workforce. So that through education at the Vocational High School level (SMK) is expected to help the fulfillment of a skilled and competent workforce in their fields. Rapid population growth results in an increase in the workforce. The more the number of labor force that is not absorbed, the more unemployment will increase. Vocational school as a secondary level education institution should be the main choice that prepares graduates ready to use at DU / DI. This is because the main objective of vocational education is to prepare superior human resources who are ready to use in the world of work, have high leadership, discipline, professional, reliable in their fields and productive. Seeing the imbalance that occurs between expectations and the available facts, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study of the factors that cause SMKs to be the biggest contributors to open unemployment so that recommendations can be made as a solution to existing problems. Learning in school or in every educational institution has an important role as a media liaison between knowledge and students or students. There are many learning methods or models used in education. Of the many methods or modes, there is one of them is a clarification value technology (VCT) model. The teaching method is a knowledge of teaching methods used by a teacher or instructor. Another understanding is the presentation technique mastered by the teacher to teach or present learning materials to students in class both individually and in groups. the learning method by clarifying the value of the value clarification technique is teaching to shape students in finding and determining a value that is considered good in dealing with a problem through the process of analyzing existing values and embedded in students. Meanwhile, learning outcomes are abilities students have after they have a learning experience. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of learning outcomes of a particular institution. In this study the object of research from an educational institution that is competent in the field of flight is used. The institution is Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. The subject of learning taken was Regulation of Dangerous Goods at Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. In addition, this study was also conducted to determine differences in learning outcomes of cadets in the Lessons on Dangerous Goods Regulations in Surabaya Aviation using the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) method. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research carried out is included in the design of one group pretest and possttest research. the research design that contained pretest before being given treatment and posttest after being treated. This research was conducted at Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. The data analysis technique used is the different test. Based on data management and analysis results, it can be concluded that the application of learning of Value Clarification Techniques can improve the learning outcomes of cadets. This is evidenced by the differences in learning outcomes of Cycle I and Cycle II significantly
