Manuscrit resu le 29 mars 1949I1 nous a paru int&essant de profiter des 300 analyses bact&iologiques quantitatives, que nous avons effectu6es durant l'ann6e 1948, chaque jour ouvrable, des eaux du L6man pr61ev&s dans le Petit-Lac fi I5 m de profondeur, pour consid&er quelles sont les relations actuelles entre les conditions m&&rologiquesQ et la teneur en germes de l'eau du lac.Pour ne pas surcharger notre article d'un nombre par trop consid&able de tableaux et de graphiques, nous nous sommes born6 ~ expliciter un tableau g6n6ral (n ~ I) qui ne comporte que des moyennes mensuelles, relatives au hombre des germes, ~ la temp6rature de l'eau~), ~ la temp6rature de Pair, ~ la dur6e de l'insolation, etc.Dans certains cas, pour &offer notre d6monstration, nous avons eu recours ~ des r6sultats quotidiens (tableau no 2) qui permettaient alors de parfaire, chiffres 3 l'appui, l'argumentation pr6sent6e par des donn6es ex-p&imentales.Nous allons donc passer en revue, aussi bri~vement que possible, les divers facteurs m6t6orologiques qui peuvent intervenir, de faqon plus ou moins sensible, ou plus ou moins durablement, sur la contamination des eaux lacustres genevoises. l) Les observations m6t6orologiques ont 6t6 puis6es dans les Archives des Sciences 6dit~es par la Soci6t6 de Physique et d'Histoire natureUe de Gen~ve (1948, vol. 1). l) Les donn6es concernant la temperature de reau (temperature/~ 15 m de profondeur) et le volume du plancton, nous ont 6t6 communiqu~es par M. le Dr BUFFLE, chimiste au Laboratoire du Service des Eaux.
