Com a chegada da pandemia da Covid-19 e todo o caos gerado, a maioria dos indivíduos sofreram impactos na saúde e no bem estar, influenciando significativamente na Qualidade de Vida (QV), que se trata de uma percepção individual sobre o estado de satisfação de sua situação de vida, no qual pode envolver a cultura, valores e experiências vivenciadas. Os profissionais da área da saúde são um dos principais grupos afetados, pois muitos estão ligados indireta ou diretamente na linha de frente, auxiliando na prevenção, tratamento, pesquisa e combate do vírus. Assim, este estudo buscou comparar a qualidade de vida dos profissionais da área da saúde antes e durante a pandemia da Covid-19, investigando as possíveis alterações e impactos gerados. Para isto, foram coletados dados de 200 indivíduos por meio de um questionário padrão disponibilizado pela OMS, o WHOQOL-bref, além de perguntas sócio demográficas e comportamentais, que foram realizadas na plataforma Google Forms e enviadas por redes sociais. Foi observado uma predominância de profissionais com faixa etária entre 18 e 62 anos, do sexo feminino e residentes da região Sudeste do Brasil, onde boa parte são biomédicos. Com a chegada da pandemia, a qualidade de vida em geral sofreu alterações significativas, no qual o quesito mental foi o mais impactado, sendo justificado principalmente por ser um aspecto que sofre a influência de multifatores. Portanto, faz se necessário a realização de intervenções que reduzam os efeitos negativos gerados e proporcione uma melhor qualidade de vida e bem estar a estes profissionais.
Em 1966 surgiu o curso de biomedicina, que é uma área voltada para a pesquisa das doenças humanas, seus fatores ambientais e ecoepidemiológicos, com a finalidade de compreender as causas, efeitos, mecanismos e desenvolver e/ou aprimorar diagnósticos e tratamentos. O presente estudo apresenta um levantamento do perfil do biomédico durante a graduação e no mercado de trabalho atual, a partir de um questionário via google forms respondido por 529 biomédicos de diversas regiões do Brasil. Essa pesquisa foi realizada por alunos do primeiro e segundo períodos do curso de Biomedicina do Centro Universitário do Sul de Minas, como projeto interdisciplinar de curso (PIC) no primeiro semestre de 2019. Além dos resultados obtidos pelo levantamento, conseguiu-se alcançar outros objetivos que incluíram o despertar da consciência de sua responsabilidade como futuro profissional da saúde, compreensão das habilidades e competências que devem adquirir durante a graduação para conquista do mercado de trabalho, conhecimento das diversas opções de campos de atuação e as áreas mais concorridas e iniciar-se no processo de Iniciação científica, mediante à pesquisa de campo, análise, exposição e discussão dos resultados encontrados.
A pandemia tem afetado milhares de pessoas em nível global, principalmente os profissionais atuantes na linha de frente, já que lidam diariamente com o vírus da COVID-19, como os médicos, enfermeiros, biomédicos, técnicos de enfermagem e de laboratório, fisioterapeutas, recepcionistas e o pessoal da limpeza hospitalar. Com isso, o objetivo deste estudo foi investigar o impacto que esta pandemia causou na vida dos profissionais que atuam na linha de frente contra o coronavírus no Brasil, e para isso foram coletados dados de 103 indivíduos de ambos os sexos por meio de um questionário padrão virtual realizado na plataforma Google Forms e enviado por redes sociais. Foi observada uma predominância de indivíduos de faixa etária entre 19 e 25 anos, do sexo feminino, no qual a grande maioria considerou o grau de exposição ao vírus durante a atividade ocupacional como alto, relataram que a maioria dos seus colegas de trabalho foram afastados por causa do contágio ou/e óbito e muitos dos entrevistados perderam amigos e familiares por conta do vírus, além disso, a saúde mental foi a mais afetada durante este período. Baseando-se nestes impactos, é necessária a realização de intervenções, principalmente psicológicas, a fim de reduzir impactos negativos e promover a saúde mental durante e pós pandemia, momento este em que as pessoas precisam se readaptar e lidar com as perdas e transformações emocionais, físicas, sociais e econômicas.
A Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica (HAS) também conhecida como pressão alta, é uma das doenças crônicas mais comuns e com complicações mais graves, na qual estima-se que cerca de 7,1 milhões de pessoas no mundo morrem anualmente devido a patologia e, que 4,5% da carga de doenças mundiais sejam acarretadas pela hipertensão. Sendo assim, estudar sobre HAS se faz necessário, uma vez que, muitas pessoas não conhecem ou possuem um conhecimento basal sobre a patologia, consequentemente isto pode estar relacionado a baixos índices de adesão ao tratamento e métodos de controle, sejam eles: alimentares, terapêuticos ou medicamentosos. O objetivo deste trabalho baseia-se em analisar o conhecimento da população acerca de informações relevantes sobre HAS, como: fatores pré-dispostos, tratamento terapêutico e métodos de controle, visto que, uma má conscientização nessas etapas pode impactar na qualidade de vida dos hipertensos. Sendo assim, foi distribuído em plataformas de redes sociais um questionário semiestruturado contendo questões sociodemográficas e referentes ao estilo de vida dos entrevistados, estes oriundos de munícipios do Sul de Minas Gerais. Os resultados obtidos evidenciaram que 89% não são portadores de hipertensão arterial, mas 56% afirmaram não possuir hábitos de vida saudável, 53% alegaram ser sedentários e 72% com estresse elevado, sendo estes fatores caracterizados como pré-dispostos a doença e, por fim, 66% disseram conhecer os fatores de risco. Contudo vemos a importância da atenção e educação à saúde, pois apesar de grande parte de uma população conhecer os riscos muitos deles não sabem como se prevenir, monitorar e tratar uma patologia de importância pública, como é o caso da Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica.
