The purpose of this study is to describe the altruistic behavior of student guidance and counseling. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population of this research is the students majoring in guidance and counseling at IAIN Batusangkar. Sampling with a purposive sampling technique, namely 7 semester 74 students. The results of this study indicate that only a small proportion of students possess altruistic behavior at high and very high classifications. While altruistic behavior in the aspect of wanting to give, empathy, volunteering, helping others, prioritizing others, and feeling the results are good for those who are helped and helped are in the medium classification.
Marriage problems that occur in Minangkabau are not only the responsibility of the husband and wife, but also the responsibility of the ninik mamak in the Minangkabau people. This study aims to reveal the pattern of ninik mamak in solving marital problems and its implications for cultural counseling. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews, while data analysis through three stages, namely; reduce data, present data and verify data. Testing the validity of the data using triangulation. The results of the study found that; firstly, the ninik mamak pattern in problem solving begins with problem mapping, building care and togetherness of family members, empowering the potential of highly respected families to mediate, secondly the mediation process is carried out persuasively, thinking clearly, spacious and visionary, thirdly reflecting and evaluating, and the findings of these four studies, namely the pattern of solving marital problems have implications for the process of cultural-based marriage counseling services with premediation stages, mediation processes and evaluation of Minang culture-based mediation.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the problems experienced by IAIN Batusangkar students and their responses to BK services at IAIN Batusangkar. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, describing research findings about developmental problems experienced by students of IAIN Batusangkar. The sample was 317 people. The technique of collecting data was using the Student Developmental Task Inventory (ITP), which was analyzed by Developmental Task Analysis (ATP). From the analysis of developmental tasks, it was found that there were 20 problems experienced by students of IAIN Batusangkar which were seen from the lowest level of development of students. So the results of this developmental task can be a guide for LPBK/KM IAIN Batusangkar and for service providers in providing structured services in order to achieve ideal developmental tasks for students through comprehensive BK services including individual counseling services, group counseling/guidance, and classical services.Keywords: Task Development; Responsive service
The main problem in this study is the lack of self-control of students in class XI IPS SMAN 1 Batipuh. The purpose of this study was to see how much influence the group counseling approach to Cognitive Behavior Therapy to improve self-control of students of class XI IPS SMAN 1 Batipuh. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The design used in this study was pre-experimental design with the type of one group pretest-posttest design, namely by measuring the self-control of the experimental group students by using the same instrument in the pretest and posttest measurements. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS SMAN 1 Batipuh, the sample in this study were 10 students who have low self-control. The results showed that cognitive behavior therapy approach group counseling had a significant effect on student self control. This can be seen based on the results of "t" count with df or db 9, with a significance level of 0.5% obtained that (16.8)> tt (1.83) can thus be interpreted that the cognitive behavior therapy approach group counseling influential significant to the self-control of students of class XI IPS at SMAN 1 Batipuh
