Introdução: O escorpionismo é uma questão de saúde pública devido à grande quantidade de casos notificados e possibilidade de agravamento dos quadros clínicos dos pacientes, podendo levar à morte. A condução correta desses casos é fundamental para um bom prognóstico do paciente, evitando maiores complicações e garantindo desfecho favorável. Objetivo: Relatar como ocorre o atendimento de casos de escorpionismo atendidos e notificados pelo Centro de Informação e Assistência Toxicológica de Campina Grande (CIATox-CG), que atua dentro de um hospital de grande porte e referência na região para casos de intoxicação, e ressaltar a importância de condutas corretas para que ocorra atendimento adequado e uma boa evolução dos casos atendidos. Metodologia: Estudo descritivo com abordagem indutiva, do tipo relato de experiência, realizado em Campina Grande/PB, tratando da atuação de plantonistas do CIATox-CG no atendimento de uma amostra de 30 pacientes adultos vítimas de escorpionismo no Hospital de Emergência e Trauma Dom Luiz Gonzaga Fernandes (HETDLGF). O instrumento utilizado foi a técnica de documentação direta intensiva. Resultados: O CIATox- CG atuou junto ao serviço de maneira comprometida nos casos de escorpionismo, promovendo um atendimento pautado nas premissas do Ministério da Saúde e garantindo que boas condutas fossem realizadas com resolutividade satisfatória. Conclusão: A atuação do CIATox-CG teve relevância para a capacitação e desenvolvimento dos plantonistas e profissionais de saúde envolvidos, além de promover práticas em saúde pautadas na ciência baseada em evidências que beneficiem os pacientes vítimas de acidentes por escorpião.
