Zusammenfassung
Die wahre Verdaulichkeit, die biologische Wertigkeit und der Stickstoffnettowert von Casein allein und in Kombination mit Aminosäuren und anderen Futtermitteln wurden in N‐Bilanzversuchen mit Ratten und Schweinen bestimmt.
Im Rattenversuch ergab sich für Casein eine wahre Verdaulichkeit von 96 bis 99, eine biologische Wertigkeit von 62 bis 72 und ein Stickstoffnettowert von 61 bis 71.
Durch Zugabe steigender Mengen dl‐Methionin wurden erst von der doppelten Menge des theoretischen Defizits an (im Bereich von 0,5 bis 0,8 % des Futters) biologische Wertigkeiten von über 80 erreicht.
Zulagen von Arginin riefen keine weitere Steigerung hervor.
In einem Vergleich zwischen Fischmehl und Casein als Zulage zu verschiedenen Grundfutterarten (Gerste, Gerste + extrah. Sojaschrot und Gerste + extrah. Sojaschrot + Kartoffeln) erwies sich das Eiweiß des Caseins als dem des Fischmehls gleichwertig.
Im Schweinebilanzversuch ergab sich für Casein ohne Methioninzusatz eine biologische Wertigkeit von 85, die einem maximal mit Methionin aufgewerteten Casein im Rattenversuch cntsprach. Dagegen konnte der Wert mit Methioninzusatz nur geringfügig verbessert werden.
