As doenças autoimunes surgem quando ocorre um mau funcionamento do sistema imunológico, fazendo com que as células do nosso corpo ataquem o próprio organismo e tecidos. Infelizmente as doenças autoimunes são doenças que não têm cura, mas não são doenças contagiosas. O lúpus eritematoso sistêmico e o vitiligo, são duas doenças autoimune de caráter crônico e que podem impactar de forma significativa a qualidade de vida dos portadores. O lúpus eritematoso sistêmico afeta várias regiões do corpo, sendo mais frequente a pele, que provoca uma erupção cutânea vermelha e escamosa, e no caso do vitiligo, que também afeta a pele, a sua característica está na perda da coloração, podendo se apresentar de várias formas e tamanhos. O objetivo deste estudo foi explicar a importância da assistência farmacêutica no enfrentamento do lúpus e vitiligo, e através dela diminuir a atividade da doença e controlar a longo prazo os sintomas. O estudo foi elaborado através de uma revisão bibliográfica, nas bases de dados: Revistas científicas, SCIELO, Google Acadêmico, site da ANVISA e Portal regional da BVS, referente à temática. Levando em consideração os resultados, foi encontrado pesquisas com pacientes portadores das doenças, que tinham ou não acompanhamento farmacêutico, e podemos concluir que tendo em vista o efeito positivo da assistência farmacêutica sobre o tratamento das doenças autoimunes, o profissional farmacêutico é importante no acompanhamento dessas doenças contribuindo para que os pacientes alcancem os objetivos terapêuticos desejados, incluindo uma melhor qualidade de vida.
