Banda Islands, also known as the "Spice Islands", is a group of spice-producing islands located in central Maluku District. The Banda Islands are included in the UNESCO tentative list as the World Heritage Centre with the criteria (iv), (vi), (x). Banda islands are also included in the National Tourism Destination (DPN) Maluku province and one of the National Tourism Development Area of Indonesia (KPPN). Banda Islands as a tourist destination has been known for a long time because of the diversity of attractions. However, in its development, tourism in the Banda islands has not shown significant results in the last decade. The management of the Banda Islands tourism involves many actors both from the government, private and community sectors. This study was conducted to find out 1) the development of the Banda Islands Tourism Management, 2) identify the participating stakeholders, 3) know the role of each stakeholders and 4) describe the collaboration between stakeholders in Banda Islands Tourism Management. This research uses qualitative methods, primary data collection is done by observation, interviews and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The selection of respondents in the interview is determined purposive sampling based on consideration and capacity in the tourism management of Banda District. The data analysis technique used in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis used to qualitatively describe the data obtained from the research site. The results shows that 1) Coordination between stakeholders has not been well so that the role of each stakeholder in tourism management has not shown maximum results, 2) The role of the private sector is too . so that the tourism development carried out by the public sector has not worked well.
This research aims to analyze and describe the development of tourism in Maluku Province, Indonesia on Instagram. The data used in this study are hashtags from several excellent tourist attractions or tourist priorities set by the maluku province tourism office. The data is then processed using social network analysis to find the level of importance and connectedness of tourism hashtags with other hashtags used in image captions on Instagram posts. The results showed that there are nine hashtags that have an important role in the network because they have high values in the measurement of degree centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality, and eigenvector centrality. The hashtags are #maluku, #ambon, #natsepa, #pulauosi, #pulaubair, #beach, #repost, #indonesia, and #namalatu. Two of nine hashtags have a high betweenness centrality value, namely #natsepa that represent natsepa beach tourism and #namalatu that represents namalatu beach tourism. Both of these tours have a high value betweenness centrality with a different form of hashtags, namely #natsepa.id and #namalatu02. This research conducted using social network analysis degree measurements such as degree, betweeness, closeness, and eigenvector to analyze insight of tourism topics in Instagram. The result of this research can give insights to the tourism actors, especially in Maluku Province, of how the hashtags are connected and related. The relation of the hashtags can be used as social media marketing strategy.
As a fast-growing industry sector, tourism has become an essential economic basis for villages. Law No 6 of 2014 has broadened the opportunity for villages to develop. A tourism village is considered one of the community empowerment options that can improve the economy and the village's development. Moreover, with all their uniqueness, tourism villages are also regarded as capable of eliminating urbanization's negative impact. Of 83.820 villages in Indonesia, 2% of them are tourism villages. This study took a sample of 55 tourism villages selected by the purposive sampling method and then described the sample based on five typologies, namely the settlement configuration, the classification of the village, the accessibility, the tourist attraction, and the category of the tourism village. The data used in the study were collected from various sources, specifically, those taken from official documents, credible websites, and previous studies to describe the typology owned by villages to become fast-growing tourism villages. The results show that, generally, tourist villages in Indonesia are dominated by rural tourism villages; however, urban tourism villages have a faster development. This study also points out the determining aspect of tourist village development.
The term Landscape has different meanings from various points of view. Landscape in the scope of planning is defined as the aesthetics of the scenery, the urban environment, the field of land cover related to visuals as well as areas related to traditional and cultural characteristics. Cultural landscape is a landscape that is formed as a result of human interaction with nature. In Indonesia, the cultural landscape is defined as Saujana. The use of the word saujana in various studies related to landscape has not been completely consistent. By using the literature study method, this study aims to examine the etymology of Saujana and its suitability with the terminology of the cultural landscape. The results of this study found that the word saujana has the closest meaning to the word Landscape, but it is not appropriate when it is paired with the term cultural landscape. The recommendation from this study is that the use of the term saujana which refers to the cultural landscape needs to be reviewedAbstrak: Istilah Landscape memiliki pemaknaan yang berbeda dari berbagai sudut pandang. Landscape dalam lingkup perencanaan diartikan sebagai sebagai estetika pemandangan, lingkungan perkotaan, bidang tutupan lahan yang berkaitan dengan visual serta area yang berkaitan dengan karakteristik adat dan budaya. Cultural landscape merupakan landscape yang terbentuk dari hasil interaksi manusia dengan alam. Di Indonesia, cultural landscape diartikan sebagai Saujana. Pengunaan kata saujana dalam berbagai penelitian yang berkaitan dengan landscape belum sepenuhnya konsisten. Dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji etimologi saujana serta kesesuaiannya dengan terminologi cultural landscape. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan gambaran bahwa kata saujana memiliki kedekatan makna dengan kata landscape, namun tidak sesuai jika dipadankan dengan istilah cultural landscape. Rekomendasi dari studi ini adalah penggunaan istilah saujana yang merujuk pada cultural landscape perlu dikaji kembali.
