One way to comprehend social reality is to watch animation films and animation series that broadcast gender models. In connection with the changes taking place in modern ideas about gender, it will be relevant to study gender roles that function in modern animation cinema. The purpose of the article is to study the theoretical and methodological approaches of visual sociology, used in the study of gender, for further selection of the most optimal methods in the study of gender models broadcast in modern animation cinema. Based on the system-analytical method, an overview of the degree of development of the problems of visual analysis of gender is made; the definitions of the concept of "gender" are considered. The authors believe that the most relevant will be the understanding of gender as a system of sociocultural norms constructed by society, which represent a number of characteristics and can be fixed by the methods of visual sociology. The main approaches of visual sociology are systematized: psychoanalytic, socio-critical, deconstructionist, hermeneutic, semiotic, (post)structuralist and discursive. The most correct methods of visual analysis in the study of gender (video surveillance, photo and video interviews, content analysis) have been substantiated. The authors conclude that for a qualitative analysis of gender problems in animated cinema, it is necessary to use classical methods of visual sociology in combination with additional methods of sociology (hermeneutic analysis, semiotic interpretation, focus groups).
Introduction. Social capital is a set of resources for human social interaction – social ties, rules of social exchange and trust. As the most important part of human capital, social capital becomes an indicator of society cohesion mainly in the matters of implementation of socio-system values – the survival and integrity of society, care for current and future generations. In this regard, the implementation of environmental values is an important direction in the development of social capital and a key task of students’ environmental education. Students’ environmental education is possible by solving an urgent social problem – the separate collection of household waste. This problem is becoming more and more relevant and discussed both at the regulatory and public levels. There is no formed public opinion – the understanding of possibilities and threats of this problem, the readiness of the population to participate in its solution. The purpose of the article was to analyze the views of students regarding the prospects and possibilities of solving the problem of separate waste collection in society, their readiness to independently participate in this practice, as well as to assess the possibilities of using this practice for the purpose of environmental education and increasing social solidarity. Materials and methods: 1) a qualitative substantive analysis of 200 students’ essays on the topic “Environmental Problems of My Region”; 2) a survey of 400 students of the Vyatka State University. Results. Students’ high willingness to practice separate waste collection against the background of other environmental practices (up to 70%, mostly girls (χ2=24.1, p=0.001), senior students (χ2=70, p=0.0). High cognitive interest in this problem is shown – 53% of students would like to study it further. Students consider the purchase of goods in biodegradable packaging as a first step towards reducing the amount of garbage (97% of students are ready to do this to varying degrees). First of all, students are ready to collect non-perishable waste – paper, plastic, glass, to a lesser extent – organic waste, metal, clothes, and shoes. More than half of the students understand that the practice of separate waste collection is a promising direction in the development of a civilized society, contributing to the improvement of yard aesthetics, improving the quality of the environment, preserving valuable resources, forests and, in general, manifestations of care for future generations. The main directions of work on environmental education and social solidarity are outlined on the basis of the data obtained.
Introduction. In the context of digitalization of education, the information and educational environment is actively developing, including formal corporate information resources and communication networks, as well as informal (non-corporate) interaction networks, whose function is performed by popular social networks and instant messengers. The digitalization of education is becoming an important factor in the formation of virtual interaction between the main parties of the educational process, namely, students, their parents and teachers. Virtual social capital is being formed as one of the ways to maintain, develop and structure human social ties in the information society. The purpose of this article is to study the features of the use of social network resources for solving cognitive and educational problems by high school students. Materials and methods: 1) handout survey for 358 students of grades 9-11 of secondary schools, lyceums and gymnasiums in the city of Kirov (Russian Federation); 2) secondary analysis of data from empirical studies on this issue (descriptive analysis). Results. The high involvement of teachers and high school students in popular social networks has been shown: up to 98% of high school students have their personal accounts, every fifth teacher uses social networks for work. Every day, teenagers spend 1 to 3 hours on social networks, regardless of their grade (χ2=3.5, df=6, р=0.74), 1 to 2 hours playing online games. 70% of high school students are subscribed to public pages that help to do homework, one third, to popular science public pages. High school students noted that thanks to computer games they improve their skills in mastering a foreign language, knowledge of basic subjects, and in every tenth case, they developed a desire for self-knowledge. Conclusion. The study showed that virtual social networks and online games perform important auxiliary functions, complementing the information and educational environment of the student: in addition to the communicative and leisure functions, they also perform organizational and information search functions. Social networks are becoming an important part of the virtual social capital of contemporary schoolchildren, as well as other parties to the educational process.
