The aforementioned features formed the gerontological profile for elderly adults in Tabasco; and the results of this series partially differed from that reported by other Mexican institutions.
Objective: To describe the geographical distribution of dengue fever cases in fl ooded areas of Villahermosa, Tabasco, in 2010. Methods: Cross-sectional, descriptive study. Universe: Colonies with antecedents of fl ooding during the inundation of the State, located in Villahermosa, Tabasco: Gaviotas Norte, Gaviotas Sur, La Manga 1 th Section, La Manga 2 nd Section and La Manga 3 th Section. Convenience sample without randomization. Variables: location, dengue fever case. Analysis: descriptive statistic. Software: SPSS version 11.0. Results: 540 individuals were included. The distribution was: Gaviotas Norte, 36.1%; Gaviotas Sur, 24.8%; La Manga 1 th Section, 13.8%; La Manga 2 nd Section, 13.2%; and La Manga 3 th Section, 12.1%. We found three cases with positive serology of IgG (0.6%) and fi ve cases of positive IgM (0.9%). The geographical distribution was associated with the proximity to two water bodies: Rio Grijalva and Laguna El Encanto. Conclusions: It is necessary to reinforce preventive interventions in the proximity of bodies of fresh water.
Objetivo: Determinar cuáles son las alteraciones bioquímicas por el consumo crónico de refresco de cola en ratas tipo Wistar. Método: Diseño experimental, analítico. Se formaron dos grupos de 10 animales cada uno, el grupo control tuvo una dieta diaria de 12 a 15 gr. de alimento por cada 100 gr. de peso y de 10 a 12 ml de agua purificada al día por cada 100 gr. de peso y al grupo experimental se le proporcionó la misma cantidad de alimento y de 10 a 12 ml de refresco de cola al día por cada 100 gr de peso. Se extrajo muestra sanguínea, y finalmente los resultados se obtuvieron a través de medidas de tendencia central, dispersión y Prueba de T de Student.Resultados: Los animales con consumo de refresco de cola registraron una alteración de todos los parámetros analizados.Palabras clave: pruebas de función hepática; hígado graso; ácidos grasos; enfermedad del hígado graso no alcohólico (Fuente DeCS BIREME)
