La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar y recopilar artículos científicos en relación con el uso de herramientas tecnológicas (HT) en educación en los últimos 3 años, producto de la Covid-19, consultándose base de datos de Scopus, Redalyc y Scielo; para tal efecto, se utilizó como metodología el enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño descriptivo, empleando como instrumento la ficha de registro de artículos, además las técnicas de revisión sistemática, análisis documental, lectura crítica y parafraseo. La población estuvo constituida por 90 artículos científicos originales de experiencia pedagógica y teórica. Teniendo una muestra final de 40 artículos relacionada con el uso de herramientas tecnológicas. Se obtuvo los siguientes resultados, al utilizar HT en el proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje permite la interacción entre docente y estudiante de manera colaborativa, dinámica e innovadora, fortaleciendo sus competencias digitales en docentes a la vez del estudiantado. Además, permite adaptarse a las nuevas formas de enseñar y aprender usando la tecnología como forma de actualización pedagógica, desprendiéndose de la práctica tradicional. Se concluye que, según fuentes revisadas se vine aplicando un conjunto de herramientas tecnológicas en la enseñanza - aprendizaje en los diferentes niveles educativos. Por ello, se sugiere seguir capacitando a los maestros y maestras con el fin de continuar fortaleciendo sus competencias digitales, pedagógicas; para enseñar y aprender acorde al contexto. Siendo el docente innovador, el estudiante protagonista y la tecnología mediadora de los aprendizajes y al mismo tiempo reducir la brecha digital.
