No atual cenário do século XXI, a humanidade enfrenta uma nova ameaça. um vírus titulado por Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), agente etiológico da COVID-19. Em tempos de pandemia, a utilização de websurveys configura-se como uma ótima estratégia para a coleta de dados primários. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a percepção de acadêmicos a respeito da pandemia da COVID-19. Este estudo foi desenvolvido no município de Arapiraca e teve como público-alvo alunos de graduação do Campus I, da Universidade Estadual de Alagoas. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em 3 etapas, a primeira foi a construção de um formulário usando a plataforma Formulários Google Docs, a segunda consistiu na distribuição do questionário através de aplicativos de redes sociais (WhatsApp, Instagram) e ficou disponível para ser respondido por cinquenta e três dias. Na etapa três, os dados foram organizados em planilhas do programa Microsoft Excel. A pesquisa teve um total de sessenta e duas pessoas que responderam ao questionário. O público atingido pela pesquisa foi representando por cidadãos da zuna rural, com uma porcentagem de 28,6%, e urbana, com 71,4%, sendo todos Alagoanos. A maioria (90,3%) acreditava que o isolamento social compõe uma medida preventiva eficaz, na ausência da vacina. Esta pesquisa transversal procurou investigar informações importantes que poderiam auxiliar os pesquisadores e profissionais da saúde a desenvolverem medidas de conscientização baseadas no público alvo. Trabalhos como este, utilizando uma metodologia de coleta de dados alternativa é importante para mostrar que mesmo em distanciamento social é possível fazer ciência.
A principal fonte de estudo da citogenética é o cromossomo, cujo é uma estrutura celular composta por material genético e proteínas. Os cromossomos podem ser divididos em holocêntricos que são cromossomos que não apresentam centrômeros localizados ao longo da sua estrutura, diferentemente dos cromossomos monocêntricos, os quais possuem o centrômero localizado, o qual é o tipo de cromossomo mais comum nas espécies em geral. O presente estudo buscou em revisar bibliograficamente estudos acerca dos cromossomos holocêntricos afim de acompanhar a evolução das pesquisas dessa temática. A revisão de literatura foi feita a partir dados bibliográficos em sites de busca como o Google Acadêmico, Scielo, PubMed e Lilacs. Foram achados ao todo 5.024 artigos científicos, onde apenas dez deles foram dispostos numa tabela de acordo com os critérios da metodologia. Ainda que existam bastante estudos acerca dos cromossomos holocêntricos, mais pesquisas são necessárias para esclarecer algumas dúvidas evolutivas, de especiação das espécies e de comparações taxonômicas entre as espécies do mesmo gênero.
Dentre os invertebrados, os insetos compõem o grupo que podemos identificar a maior irradiação adaptativa ao ambiente terrestre conhecida, usufruem praticamente todos os tipos de hábitats, apresentando ampla plasticidade adaptativa. Esses animais são muito importantes para a manutenção nos ciclos de matéria orgânica e sucesso no fluxo de energia dos ecossistemas terrestres. O problema é que, devido à redução das fontes de alimento e de locais de nidificação, à ocupação intensiva das terras e ao uso de defensivos agrícolas, as populações de insetos silvestres têm sido reduzidas drasticamente, colocando em risco todo o bioma em que vivem. O objetivo desse trabalho foi realizar um levantamento da diversidade entomológica de uma propriedade rural do Baixo São Francisco – SE, utilizando armadilhas do modelo pitfalls. O trabalho foi desenvolvido no período de abril a maio de 2020 no povoado São Tiago, município de Telha. Foram capturados 115 insetos, os animais amostrados foram classificados em nível de família. A utilização de armadilhas pitfalls para a amostragem de insetos nesta área antropizada se mostrou uma ferramenta capaz de contribuir com o levantamento de dados sobre a abundância de indivíduos da entomofauna.
