Synopsis
The local lesion type of resistance to wheat streak‐mosaic virus exhibited by an intermediate type Agrotricum (2 n = 56) is conditioned by factors located on one or more chromosomes non‐homologous to common wheat (2n = 42), chromosomes. Therefore, the transfer of this type of resistance from the Agrotricum hybrid to common wheat would appear to be most difficult at least with the particular Agrotricum strain used.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
