Este número de la revista Trace incluye una sección temática conformada por cinco artículos cuyas reflexiones comparten una preocupación central: dar cuenta del poder de la presencia en las artes del ritual. El material es amplio, variado y denso, ya que incluye datos con alto valor etnográfico relativos a la Región Texcocana de habla náhuatl, el área purépecha de Michoacán, la Huasteca potosina y queretana donde habita la población teenek, la Huasteca hidalguense, veracruzana y potosina de habla náhuatl; y el Altiplano Potosino, donde convergen los wixaritari con habitantes locales, peregrinos mestizo y turistas new age. Este dossier contiene también importantes consideraciones de índole conceptual y teórica, fundamentadas en los sistemas de pensamiento de estos grupos humanos sobre nociones como la fuerza, poder o potencia que, al parecer, atribuyen a ciertas presencias. Es por eso que se requiere una presentación que no se limite a sintetizar el contenido de cada artículo, sino que explique cómo se articulan entre sí, los diálogos que establecen entre ellos y con otros trabajos, el rumbo común de indagación hacia donde se dirigen. Es preciso además recordar a los lectores que esta sección temática está estrechamente ligada a otra que fue publicada en 2018 (Trace 73). De modo que la presente sección podrá leerse como el segundo volumen de un dossier sobre el mismo tema. Como recordatorio, las cuatro contribuciones del primer volumen se centraron en procesos de construcción de presencia en contextos rituales, algunas de las cuales consideraron el concepto de agency de Gell para explicar fenómenos de atribución de intencionalidades a objetos inanimados que, mediante procesos rituales complejos, se vuelven personas.Ce numéro de la revue Trace inclut une section thématique constituée de cinq articles dont les réflexions ont pour intérêt commun de rendre compte du pouvoir de la présence dans les arts du rituel. Les matériaux sont amples, variés et denses, ils comprennent des données ethnographiques de valeur, que ce soit sur la région de Texcoco de langue nahuatl, l’aire purépecha du Michoacán, la zone Huaxtèque de San Luis Potosí et Querétaro où habitent les Indiens Teenek, celle aussi des états du Hidalgo, Veracruz et San Luis Potosí de langue nahuatl, et les haut-plateaux de San Luis Potosí, où convergent Indiens Wixaritari, habitants locaux, pèlerins mestizos et touristes new age. Ce dossier contient aussi d’importantes considérations d’ordre conceptuel et théorique, fondées sur les systèmes de pensée de ces groupes humains concernant des notions comme la force, le pouvoir ou la puissance qu’ils attribuent à certaines présences. Tout cela requiert une présentation qui ne se contente pas seulement de synthétiser les contenus de chaque article, mais qui explique aussi comment ils s’articulent les uns aux autres, quels dialogues ils établissent entre eux et avec d’autres travaux, et vers quelles lignes communes de recherche ils se dirigent. Il est important de rappeler aux lecteurs que cette section thématique est étroitement liée à celle qui fut publiée en 2018 (Trace 73) .Cette section pourra donc être lue comme le second volume d’un dossier sur le sujet. Pour mémoire, les quatre contributions du premier volume se sont centrées sur des processus de construction de présences en contextes rituels, quelques-unes d’entre elles en considérant le concept d’agency de Gell, afin d’expliquer des phénomènes d’attribution d’intentionnalités à des objets inanimés qui, en passant par des processus rituels complexes, deviennent des personnes.
