Artigo recebido em 27/04/2014 e aceito para publicação em 21/07/2015 RESUMO:O artigo apresenta reflexões que subsidiam a compreensão da relação entre os saberes locais e o manejo e uso de recursos naturais na organização do espaço produtivo da comunidade quilombola Olho d'Água dos Negros, situada no município de Esperantina, no Piauí. Buscou-se analisar a atual organização espacial, reunindo elementos socioeconômicos e simbólico-culturais, e a relação entre a sociobiodiversidade no extrativismo vegetal, com ênfase no buriti, na conservação ambiental e na valorização dos saberes locais. De caráter etnográfico e qualitativo, utilizou-se de mapeamento participativo para compreender os padrões de uso da terra. O processo de conquista da terra, aliado aos movimentos sociais, fortaleceu a identidade étnica e a mobilização política em busca de políticas públicas em prol de conquistas sociais na comunidade. Verificou-se que o espaço produtivo é limitado à produção de gêneros destinados ao autoconsumo, com reduzida atividade agrícola e subutilização de produtos oriundos do extrativismo de espécies vegetais. Os cercados, espaços de uso misto nos quintais das residências, é o tipo de uso que mais se expande na comunidade, na qual o buritizal cumpre a função ecológica de proteger o olho d'água e as veredas. Entretanto, no extrativismo, este fruto é subutilizado, sendo aproveitado apenas in natura. Palavras-Chave: Comunidade Quilombola. Territorialidade. Sociobiodiversidade. Uso da terra. Buriti. ABSTRACT:This article presents reflections that grant the comprehension of the relation between the local knowledge and the handling and use of the natural resources in the organization of the productive areas of the Olho d'Água dos Negros, a Quilombola's community, located in the city of Esperantina in Piauí. The area organization was analyzed, assembling socioeconomic and cultural symbolic elements, and the relation between the sociobiodiversity in the vegetal extraction, with emphasis on Buruti (a local fruit), on the environment preservation and valorization of the local knowledge. About ethnography and qualitative aspects, participative mapping was used in order to understand the patters of the land use. The land conquest process, allied with social movements, strengthened the ethnic identity and the politic mobilization searching public policy in favor of social conquests for the community. It was seen that the productive area is limited to self-use production, with reduced agricultural activity and underuse of vegetal extraction
Este artigo analisa o Fundo Rotativo da Comunidade Quilombola Piqui da Rampa, o qual tem se constituído como importante instrumento de finança solidária. O Piqui da Rampa está localizado no município de Vargem Grande, Estado do Maranhão, Brasil. O referido fundo foi constituído por inciativa da Associação do Piqui da Rampa com a finalidade de conceder doações ou empréstimos para moradores que estejam com dificuldades para solucionar problemas relacionados com questões de saúde, viagens, funerais etc. A análise está baseada em fontes de informações primárias, obtidas a partir de entrevistas junto a membros fundadores e dirigentes da associação e da aplicação de formulários junto aos chefes das famílias da comunidade. Os resultados apontam que o Fundo Rotativo do Piqui da Rampa é mantido através dos excedentes gerados pela comercialização dos produtos agrícolas, dos lucros obtidos a partir do tradicional festejo da farinha e das diárias de trabalho dispensadas em prol da associação. As características deste fundo convergem para as definições e classificações existentes, contudo o mesmo precisa avançar em relação à formalização, organização administrativa, registros e controle das atividades. As ações solidárias desenvolvidas pelo Fundo Rotativo do Piqui da Rampa desempenham uma função que ultrapassa a simples questão da doação. A sua importância está relacionada com valores e princípios que são construídos ou realçados como a solidariedade e a reciprocidade.
Esta pesquisa versa sobre a relação de territorialidade construída pelas comunidades quilombolas e a organização de seus espaços socioprodutivos, levando em conta os problemas históricos de acesso à terra que marcam a estrutura fundiária no Brasil. As pequenas comunidades quilombolas presentes no Território dos Cocais, no Estado do Piauí, revelam, em sua multiterritorialidade e microterritorialidade, marcas das temporalidades espacializadas nas formas de acesso e uso da terra. Nessa perspectiva, designou-se como área de estudo a Comunidade Vereda dos Anacletos, localizada no município de Esperantina (PI), onde se promoveram oficinas de mapeamento participativo (ACT BRASIL, 2018) envolvendo trabalhadores rurais da comunidade, além de pesquisa documental e aplicação de questionários. O território dessa comunidade é marcado pela sociobiodiversidade da palmeira carnaúba, embora poucos moradores tenham acesso aos carnaubais. Os resultados apontaram que a concentração fundiária e a submissão às normas impostas pelos proprietários de terras marcam a organização do espaço socioprodutivo, com baixa produtividade e pouca inserção nas políticas públicas voltadas ao fortalecimento da economia local.
