RESUMOOs procedimentos para o atendimento psicopedagógico são múltiplos e devem ser utilizados conforme a demanda apresentada ou o objetivo traçado. Nesse sentido, o presente artigo procura discutir desafios e possibilidades que Psicopedagogos(as) podem encontrar em abrigos para crianças e adolescentes. Para isso, reflete sobre algumas das práticas frequentemente utilizadas no atendimento de crianças e adolescentes, tais como: a entrevista inicial, a anamnese, o exame do caderno e do material escolar, a hora do jogo, as provas projetivas e a devolução, relacionando tal reflexão com a realidade vivenciada nos abrigos. Apesar de existirem certas limitações na realização de tais práticas nas situações de abrigagem, em especial no que se refere às poucas informações de vida e a não proximidade com a família do paciente, conclui-se que o(a) profissional de psicopedagogia pode contribuir significativamente para o auxílio das dificuldades de aprendizagem da criança e adolescente institucionalizado, desde que esteja aberto e disposto a repensar e adequar sua prática a partir do contexto sócio cultural em que está inserido.Palavras Chave: Psicopedagogia; Acolhimento institucional; Abrigos para crianças e adolescentes. PSYCHOPEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE IN SHELTERS FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS ABSTRACTThe procedures for psychopedagogic care are multiple and must be used as the existing demand or the goal that was set out. Therefore, this paper seeks to discuss the challenges and possibilities that psychopedagogy professionals can find in shelters for children and adolescents. Thereunto, it tries to reflect on some practices commonly used in children and adolescents care, such as the initial interview, the anamnesis, the examination of the notebook and school supplies, game time, projective tests and the results, in order to relate this reflection to the reality experienced in the shelters. Although there are certain limitations on the practical realization of the shelter experience, particularly regarding to the limited life information and because there is no proximity with the patient's family, that the finfings pointed the professional of psychopedagogy can contribute significantly to help institutionalized children and adolescents to deal with their learning difficulties if he or she is open and willing to think about and adapt his-her practice considering the socio-cultural context in which he-she is inside.
