The article analyzes the development of artistic and industrial education in the territory of Gzhel craftsmanship in the pre-war, war and post-war years on the basis of newly discovered sources. It shows that training for folk crafts did not have a long break in the period in question, as previously thought, and discusses further prospects for research into the issue.
