Yeni koronavirüs hastalığı (COVID-19) pandemisinin uzaması nedeniyle Mart 2020'den bu yana bugün Türkiye'de halen aktif olarak çevrimiçi uzaktan eğitim uygulanmaktadır. Bu pandeminin başlangıcında öğrencilerde fiziksel inaktivite, anksiyete ve depresyon bildirilmiştir. Ancak, uzamış COVID-19 pandemisi sürecinde çevrimiçi uzaktan eğitime devam eden üniversite öğrencilerinde stres, anksiyete, depresyon ve fiziksel aktivite düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkileri gösteren ayrıntılı bir çalışma bulunmadığından bu çalışmada bunu araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu prospektif enine kesitsel çalışma üniversite öğrencilerini (n=281, 20,21±1,47 yıl) içermektedir. Stres, anksiyete ve depresyon varlığı (Depresyon Anksiyete Stres Ölçeği-21) ve fiziksel aktivite düzeyleri (Uluslararası Fiziksel Aktivite Anketi Kısa Formu) çevrimiçi platform üzerinden uzaktan değerlendirildi. Tüm öğrencilerin 130 (%46,3), 157 (%55,9) ve 192'sinde (%68,3) sırasıyla stres, anksiyete ve depresyon vardı. Ayrıca 89 (%31,7) öğrenci inaktif, 115 (%40,9) öğrenci minimal aktif ve 77 (%27,4) öğrenci çok aktifti. Toplam fiziksel aktivite puanı boy, cinsiyet, günlük uyku süresi ve günlük oturma süresi ile istatistiksel anlamlı olarak ilişkiliydi (p<0,05). Fiziksel aktivite, stres, anksiyete ve depresyon puanları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki yoktu (p>0,05). COVID-19 pandemisinin başlamasından bu yana bir yıl geçti. Ancak, halen öğrencilerin çoğunluğu fiziksel olarak yeterince aktif değildir ve stres, anksiyete ve depresyon yaşamaktadır. Tüm bunlar öğrencilerin uzamış pandemi sürecine uyum problemlerini göstermektedir. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin olumsuz ruh hali fiziksel aktivitelerle ilişkili olmasa da öğrencilerin günlük oturma ve uyku süreleri arttıkça fiziksel aktivite miktarı da azalmaktadır. Bu nedenle, uzun süreli COVID-19 pandemisinin sağlık üzerine olumsuz etkileri artmaya devam ederken, üniversite öğrencileri fiziksel aktivite ve psikolojik danışmanlık programlarına dâhil edilmelidir.
