Background: Dental and oral health is one of the clean and healthy living behaviour as we called “PHBS”. The result of preliminary research that conducted at Desa Sukasari on March 31, 2021 on the 40 pregnant women, found that 42,5% gingivitis pregnant women on 3 sextans, 32,5% gingivitis pregnant women on 2 sextan, 15% gingivitis pregnant women on 1 sextan and 10% pregnant women with the health gingiva. From that data we know that the dental and oral health on pregnant women at Desa Sukasari is still lower. The purpose of the study: Knowing the influence of audio-visual education on gingivitis to the motivation for gingiva treatment during pregnancy. Methodology: The research is using a quasi-experimental method. The research design is using non randomized design with pre and posttest. Sample of this research are 25 respondents who selected by Purposive Sampling Technics. The analysis of the research is used a paired T-test. The results of the study: There is a difference between pretest and posttest results that prove the influence of audio-visual to improve the motivation. Based on this research, here is found that the statistic test results with a Paired T-test is P-value 0,002 (< 0,05). Conclusion: an audio-visual education on gingivitis can improve the motivation for gingiva treatment during pregnancy significantly.
The research is driven by the lack of interest of graduates in entrepreneurship in dental nursing. There are around 1.5% of graduates from 2015 to 2018 Diploma III dental nursing programs who have become entrepreneurs in the field of dental nursing. Also, graduates work as civil servants or employees in private clinics. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of entrepreneurship learning as a strengthening of life skills for dental nursing graduates in the health polytechnic of the West Java region. This research was conducted using a mixed-method, namely quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative method is done by collecting data through questionnaires, study or document analysis. Then the qualitative method is carried out with data collection techniques through observing the learning process and interviews. The research subjects were the Secretary, the head of the study program, academic administration, the team of entrepreneurial lecturers and Diploma III students in dental nursing. The results of the analysis can be identified that the first findings of the effectiveness of the quality of syllabus and RPS documents are included in the high category (very good) following the content standards. The second finding is that the quality of learning planning is generally high (very good) according to the process standard. The third finding explains the teaching and learning activities of lecturers is high, but the utilization of lecturer learning resources is relatively low. The fourth finding regarding the use of student learning resources is relatively low intensity. Fifth finding, evaluation quality is classified as high quantitatively. Research recommendations regarding the dimensions of learning evaluation consisting of Contexts, Inputs, Processes, and Products, are given to the Chairperson of the Department to make policies and curriculum development team for the dental nursing department, the team of supporting lecturers and subsequent researchers.
