Objetivos: caracterizar y comprender los roles de la mujer en el mundo del fútbol y el barrismo en relación con las concepciones sobre lo femenino y lo masculino.Metodología: se optó por un método cualitativo. Para ello, se aplicaron entrevistas que permitieron obtener información que se analizó a través de matrices. La unidad de análisis del estudio fue el mundo social del fútbol, la cual se dividió en las categorías Género: masculinidad y feminidades, cuerpos, subjetividades y movimientos, identidades y vinculaciones, estigmas, emblemas, territorialidades, ritmos, rituales, simbología. Tiempos: cronológico, social, emocional, movimientos emocionales, orden social: racionalidades. Al igual, dicha información se recopiló a través de entrevistas abiertas y se registró por medio de observación en un diario de campo, siendo estas las herramientas implementadas como instrumento. La población estuvo conformada por jóvenes barristas organizados en grupos focales.Resultados: se evidenció la inclusión femenina en el mundo del fútbol; existen mujeres barristas y futbolistas; mujeres que hacen parte de las prácticas de los hinchas del equipo; sin embargo, también se constató que en otros ámbitos de dicho mundo social futbolístico, la mujer sigue relegada a un segundo plano.Conclusiones: la mujer hincha es parte importante de la barra del equipo; no obstante, la práctica del fútbol, pese al esfuerzo de sectores de la sociedad, sigue siendo relevante sólo para hombres.
