La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar las percepciones en torno a la Violencia Íntima de Pareja (VIP), en parejas lesbianas, gais y bisexuales (LGB) de Lima metropolitana. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo, con diseño de análisis temático reflexivo, en el cual se entrevistó a 17 personas LGB, que hayan tenido al menos una relación homosexual en el último año. El análisis se realizó con el soporte del software ATLAS.ti 22. Los resultados evidencian por un lado, la inseguridad emocional expresada en los temores, que generan los celos que conducen a situaciones de desconfianza y a conductas de control, produciendo sensaciones de soledad en la víctima. En paralelo a lo anterior, dicha inseguridad también genera una dependencia hacia la pareja, la cual puede conducir a situaciones de violencia. La otra percepción en torno a esta violencia es la justificación de la violencia, la cual comprende argumentos minimizadores y negacionistas de la VIP, los cuales la terminan normalizando. Se concluye que las percepciones encontradas afirman los predictores no específicos de la VIP e incorporan nuevos elementos causales, tales como los argumentos minimizadores y negacionistas de la VIP.
El phubbing es una perturbación de la comunicación que consiste en desairar la compañía de otra persona por prestar atención al teléfono móvil. Es común en jóvenes y tiene implicancias en la calidad de la interacción social. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la relación entre el Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), la adicción a Facebook, los sentimientos de soledad, la edad y el phubbing. Se seleccionaron por conveniencia 209 estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima, Perú, cuyas edades oscilaron entre los 17 y 37 años, con una edad promedio 21,28 años (DE = 3,42), de los cuales la mayoría fueron mujeres (64,1%). La investigación siguió un diseño explicativo. Se aplicaron la Escala de Phubbing, la Escala de FoMO, la Escala de Adicción a Facebook de Bergen y la Escala de Soledad de Jong Gierveld. Los datos se analizaron a través de coeficientes de correlación lineal de Pearson y un modelo de regresión lineal, el que mostró que el FoMO y la adicción a Facebook tienen efectos directos sobre el phubbing; la edad tiene efectos indirectos sobre su varianza; la soledad no explica significativamente este comportamiento.
En este estudio se pone a prueba un modelo para predecir la ideación suicida de adolescentes, considerando como antecedentes la violencia y victimización escolar, el autoconcepto familiar y académico y la sintomatología depresiva. Participaron 792 adolescentes mexicanos de secundaria (49.4% mujeres, 50.6% hombres) entre 11 a 16 años (M = 13.3,D.T. = 1.0), seleccionados con un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se administraron las escalas de Ideación Suicida, Conducta Violenta en la Escuela, Victimización en la Escuela, Autoconcepto Forma-5 y CES-D. A partir de Modelos de Ecuaciones Estructurales, los resultados mostraron que el modelo que mejor se ajusta indica una doble relación de la victimización escolar con la ideación suicida: un efecto directo y positivo sobre pensamientos suicidas, y, por otro lado, un efecto indirecto y negativo a través del apoyo familiar, y positivo con la sintomatología depresiva. El autoconcepto familiar resulto un importante factor de protección.
Objetivo Analizar las percepciones de los factores de riesgo asociados al contagio del coronavirus en adultos mayores pertenecientes a distritos con ingresos bajos de Lima Metropolitana (Perú). Materiales y Métodos Estudio de tipo cualitativo, con un diseño fenomenológico hermenéutico y con muestreo teórico. Para el análisis de datos se empleó el software ATLAS.ti 7.5. Participaron diez mujeres y seis varones, incluyendo contagiados y no contagiados. Se realizaron 16 entrevistas semiestructuradas durante los meses de agosto y setiembre del 2020. Resultados Se identificaron percepciones en el componente cognitivo, experiencial, sociocultural, confianza y eficacia. Además, no se encontraron diferencias significativas en cuanto a las percepciones de riesgo entre las personas contagiadas y no contagiadas. Sin embargo, en cuanto a la subcategoría de confianza hacia la ciencia, las personas que han contraído el virus tienen mayores percepciones negativas, a diferencia de los que no han sido contagiados, quienes, a su vez, muestran más percepciones positivas sobre los avances científicos. Conclusiones Los factores de riesgo identificados por los adultos mayores fueron: no respetar el distanciamiento social, el uso inadecuado de mascarillas y la falta de higiene personal. Asimismo, las percepciones negativas hacia estos factores de riesgo fueron de miedo al contagio de uno mismo y de los demás, la intranquilidad, la preocupación, la inseguridad o desconfianza, la desprotección y la incapacidad para enfrentar el virus; y en cuanto a las percepciones positivas, estas fueron: tranquilidad, seguridad, apoyo social, protección a la familia, esperanza y satisfacción.
