Introducción. El estándar de oro para el diagnóstico de las lesiones melanocíticas ungulares es el estudio histopatológico. Parámetros como el número, características morfológicas y ubicación de los melanocitos en el aparato ungular, son esenciales para diferenciar las lesiones benignas del melanoma ungular, neoplasia maligna de comportamiento agresivo y pobre pronóstico. En nuestro país no se han realizado estudios de cuantificación de melanocitos en la matriz ungular normal ni en lesiones pigmentadas de las uñas. Por esta razón, se desarrolló un protocolo de toma de biopsias de matriz ungular en cadáveres sin generar alteraciones estéticas importantes y proporcionando muestras de buena calidad que permitan una evaluación histológica adecuada. Los principales pasos del protocolo de toma de biopsias son: inspección de la uña, disección y avulsión de la placa ungular, toma de dos biopsias longitudinales de la matriz ungular, reposicionamiento y fijación de la lámina y fijación de los pliegues ungulares.

RESUMENEl adenoma canalicular (AC) es una neoplasia epitelial benigna infrecuente de las glándulas salivales menores localizada principalmente en el labio superior. Se manifiesta como un nó-dulo menor de 3 centímetros, indoloro, no ulcerado y de crecimiento lento. El diagnóstico diferencial se debe hacer con otros tumores de las glándulas salivales como adenoma de células basales, adenoma pleomórfico y carcinoma adenoide quístico.Se presenta el caso de una paciente con antecedente de adenoma canalicular en el labio superior extirpado 13 años antes, que consultó en junio de 2015 por una lesión de 8 mm de diá-metro en la misma localización. En septiembre del mismo año se resecó la lesión, incluyendo la glándula salival accesoria adyacente. El estudio histopatológico confirmó nuevamente el diagnóstico de AC y mostró multifocalidad del tumor en la glándula salival accesoria.
