Cette réflexion explore la complexité des relations intrapsychiques des analystes avec leurs théories d’élection et leur déclinaison complexe dans le cadre plus général de la communauté et de la littérature psychanalytiques, à travers les vicissitudes historiques réitérées ayant accompagné la formation des groupes, des écoles et les orientations technico-conceptuelles, souvent conflictuelles, au cours des décennies. L’auteur souligne en particulier l’importance des mouvements transférentiels profonds envers les auteurs dont les conceptualisations inspirent tout analyste, par-delà des choix « objectifs » (ou supposés tels). L’intégration plus ou moins harmonieuse des « objets théoriques internes » avec le Moi de travail et le Soi de travail individuels, constitue une tâche évolutive essentielle pour la croissance personnelle et le parcours de formation des analystes contemporains.
La manière dont Ferenczi a compris les défenses primaires nécessaires pour faire face au trauma, telles l’introjection, l’identification à l’agresseur, l’atomisation et le « calcul », vient étayer les observations cliniques de l’auteur à propos de patients ayant introjecté une mère-douleur . L’introjection d’une mère en souffrance maintient le terrorisme de l’événement externe premier par la persistance de la douleur interne, avec pour résultat d’être soumis au tourment de la souffrance. Une telle introjection crée des difficultés techniques pour l’analyste. Un cas clinique est présenté ici pour en témoigner.
