Mycological research in the Northern part of West Siberia has now become sufficient for review and digitisation as over 460 scientific works have been completed mainly since the beginning of the 20th century. The history of research in the region started from isolated studies at the beginning of the 20th century, but regular and systematic research started from the 1970s. Over the following decades, several dozens of researchers have worked in the area, but the reported occurrences were scattered amongst a broad variety of publications, mainly hardly available. The great need in digitisation and accumulation of fungal records reported in published literature in a standardised regional database has now become evident. The «Fungal records database of the Northern West Siberia» (FuNWS) was initiated in 2016 according to contemporary biodiversity data standards (Darwin Core), to be compatible and accessible by the broad research community. The database has been supplemented ever since by the collective effort of specialists working in the area. According to the database summary report, there are 3358 fungal and fungus-like species revealed in the Northern West Siberia at present. The richest in species number classes are Agaricomycetes (60%) and Lecanoromycetes (33%) with a total of 25 classes represented. The FuNWS database was uploaded to Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) (Ygra State University Biological Collection publisher) on 11 November 2017 (earlier titled «Fungal Records Database of Yugra, FReDY») to provide open access to the data and its reusability (Filippova et al. 2020). This publication summarises the results of the digitisation of literature-based occurrence records of fungi and fungus-like organisms initiated in the Northern part of West Siberia for the first time in the history of mycological research. The bibliography of regional mycological publications was created to include about 460 published works (Suppl. material 2). In total, about 140 literature sources were digitised and about 22000 occurrence records were integrated into the FuNWS database (Filippova et al. 2020).

The basidiomycete Schizophyllum commune has the highest level of genetic polymorphism known among living organisms. In a previous study, it was also found to have a moderately high per-generation mutation rate of 2×10−8, likely contributing to its high polymorphism. However, this rate has been measured only in an experiment on Petri dishes, and it is unclear how it translates to natural populations. Here, we used an experimental design that measures the rate of accumulation of de novo mutations in a linearly growing mycelium. We show that S. commune accumulates mutations at a rate of 1.24×10−7 substitutions per nucleotide per meter of growth, or ∼2.04×10−11 per nucleotide per cell division. In contrast to what has been observed in a number of species with extensive vegetative growth, this rate does not decline in the course of propagation of a mycelium. As a result, even a moderate per-cell-division mutation rate in S. commune can translate into a very high per-generation mutation rate when the number of cell divisions between consecutive meiosis is large.

new records of the annulate Pluteus were made by the authors in Central russia (zhigulevsky nature reserve) and Western siberia (yugansky nature reserve). the description of the species based on these records is presented. the taxonomic value of such features as the presence of velum and the color of lamellae edge as well as the similarity between Chamaeota and Pluteus are discussed and the new combination Pluteus fenzlii is proposed.

В предыдущей части работы мы затронули вопросы актуальности развития микологических исследований на территории севера Западной Сибири (конкретно – ХМАО) и необходимость проведения ревизии уже выполненных за 100 лет работ. Был сделан обзор первых разрозненных работ, проведенных в начале 20 века, описание истории изучения дереворазрушающих базидиомицетов и фитопатологических исследований. Во второй части мы продолжаем анализ других направлений и подводим некоторые итоги. Большое внимание на территории ХМАО уделено также изучению наземных макромицетов (в узком смысле – агарикоидных базидиомицетов), однако исследования носят локальный характер. Хорошо изучены две территории – в окр. г. Ханты-Мансийска и Юганский заповедник. Изучается как видовой состав, так и количественная структура сообществ макромицетов лесных и болотных экосистем, а также особенности биологии и экологии отдельных редких видов. Ввиду высокой заболоченности территории округа особое внимание в исследованиях было уделено сообществам грибов верховых болот (макро- и микромицеты, дрожжи, ксилотрофные базидиомицеты, миксомицеты). Выявление видового состава лихенобиоты проходило лишь в отдельных районах ХМАО, однако суммарный список видов достаточно велик. Выявлено видовое разнообразие миксомицетов на территориях некоторых ООПТ. В контексте таксономических исследований всего за период микологической истории ХМАО было описано четыре новых вида и одна комбинация, в работах сообщаются сведения о новых, еще не описанных видах. Охрана грибов в ХМАО началась с выпуска Красной книги региона в 2003 г. (второе издание вышло в 2013 году). За это время вышел ряд публикаций, посвященных микологическим природоохранным мероприятиям. Коллекции грибов являются неотъемлемой частью развития микологических исследований: на территории мы насчитываем около 5 фунгариев. Кроме того, большое число коллекций грибов, собранных в ХМАО, хранятся в исследовательских институтах других регионов. На основе опубликованных работ нами была составлена база данных находок грибов и грибоподобных организмов ХМАО (Fungal Records Database of Yugra). В настоящее время база включает около 14 тыс. записей находок грибов. Ссылка на базу данных размещена на странице сайта Фунгария ЮГУ и база данных доступна для скачивания. Анализ базы данных показал, что для территории ХМАО опубликовано около 2600 видов и подвидовых таксонов грибов и грибоподобных организмов. Из них большая часть приходится на агарикоидные базидиомицеты (30%), лишайники (37%), а также афиллофоровые базидиомицеты (19%).

AbstractThe number of mutations that occur per nucleotide per generation varies between species by several orders of magnitude. In multicellular eukaryotes, the per generation mutation rate depends both on the per cell division mutation rate and on the number of germline cell divisions per generation. In a range of species, from fungi to humans, the number of germline cell divisions is lower than that of somatic cells, reducing the mutation burden on the offspring. The basidiomycete Schizophyllum commune has the highest level of genetic polymorphism known among eukaryotes. In a previous study, it was also found to have a high per generation mutation rate, probably contributing to its high polymorphism. However, this rate has been measured only in a breeding experiment on Petri dishes, and it is unclear how this result translates to natural populations. Here, we used an experimental design that measures the rate of accumulation of de novo mutations in a linearly growing mycelium. We show that S. commune accumulates mutations at a uniform rate of 1.4·10−7 substitutions per nucleotide per meter of growth, which is 3 orders of magnitude higher than the corresponding rates in the oak Quercus robur and the fungus Armillaria gallica. This figure is consistent with the estimate obtained before, and suggests the lack of a dedicated germline in this system. If so, even a low per cell division mutation rate can translate into a very high per generation mutation rate when the number of cell divisions between consecutive meioses is large.
