Abstract: Classic variables that have been explaining the electoral behavior throughout the 20th century are now in question in the context of contemporary societies. Neuroscience represents a very promising field of study for its application in the analysis of voter behavior, approaching the possibility of studying the role emotions play in it.Neuromarketing applied to political marketing is presented as a powerful tool that would allow us to observe how different electoral targets react neurologically to a given political nature stimulus, thus identifying new sharper elements of voting behavior . This article aims to discuss future applications and projection of neuroscience in the political science field as well as to highlight the need to take into account the role of emotions in the behavior of voters.Key words: neuroscience, neuromarketing, emotions, political behaviour.
