Pandemi virus corona (Covid-19 )yang muncul semenjak Januari 2020 telah telah menyebabkan darurat global. Pembatasan aktivitas memberikan dampak turunan yang cukup siginifikan terhadap perilaku masyarakat, tak terkecuali konsumen. Untuk mengurangi risiko terjadinya penularan virus, pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan berupa strategi dalam menekan penyebaran Covid-19 yakni dengan menetapkan kebijakan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB). Kebijakan ini berimplikasi munculnya era New Normal. New normal adalah perubahan perilaku untuk tetap melakukan aktivitas normal dengan ditambah menerapkan protokol kesehatan guna mencegah terjadinya penularan Covid-19. New normal yang menyebabkan perubahan perilaku belanja konsumen dari mulai frekuensi belanja, metode pembayaran, saluran pemasaran yang dikunjungi dan lainnya. Menurut survei yang dilakukan oleh Visa bahwa 60% masyarakat memilih membayar dengan metode non tunai. 56% responden Indonesia kemungkinan akan meningkatkan belanja online. Hal tersebut dengan adanya new normal mengubah perilaku konsumen dalam berbelanja. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Garut dengan karakteristik responden. Responden kebanyakan berjenis kelamin perempuan merupakan objek survey utama dalam pembahasan. Responden perempuan lebih konsumtif dibanding dengan laki-laki. Pada sebelum adanya pandemi (covid-19) dan pada masa new normal terjadinya perubahan pemilihan saluran pemasaran berdasarkan aksesbilitas, kenyamanan dan keamanan. Perubahan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil survey dimana sebelum adanya pandemi (covid-19) konsumen memilih berbelanja di supermarket dan paling sedikit berbelanja online, sedangkan pada saat new normal konsumen paling banyak memilih supermarket, minimarket, dan online dan sedikit yang memilih pasar tradisional.
