<p>Minuman kemasan merupakan minuman yang dikemas dengan beraneka macam kemasan yang langsung bisa diminum atau harus diolah terlebih dahulu. Dalam minuman kemasan mengandung bahan tambahan pangan salah satunya yaitu pewarna yang dapat memperbaiki atau menambah daya tarik suatu makanan. Pewarna dalam minuman kemasan yang sering digunakan salah satunya pewarna sintetis tartrazin. Penggunaan pewarna tartrazin sebagai bahan tambahan pangan memiliki batas maksimum berdasarkan BPOM No 11 Tahun 2019 yaitu 70 mg/kg.</p><p>Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar zat warna tartrazin dengan menggunakan metode spektrofotometri visible dan untuk mengetahui kadar zat warna tartrazin yang terdapat pada sampel minuman kemasan yang beredar di Pasar Warungasem Kabupaten Batang memenuhi persyaratan yang diizinkan oleh BPOM.</p><p>Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif eksploratif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil secara purposive sampling yang diperoleh di sekitar Pasar Warungasem Kabupaten Batang yang memiliki warna kuning serta terindikasi menggunakan pewarna tartrazin. Preparasi sampel menggunakan ekstraksi dengan pelarut n-butanol, kemudian dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan alat spektrofotometer visible.</p><p>Hasil : Pada penelitian ini dilakukan verifikasi metode terlebih dahulu yaitu dengan melakukan uji kesesuaian sistem, uji linearitas serta LoD dan LoQ dengan hasil nilai RSD 1,64 %, linearitas koefisien korelasi (r) 0,9907, nilai LoD 0,9977 µg/ml dan LoQ 3,0235 µg/ml. Hasil penetapan kadar dari empat sampel yang digunakan menunjukkan untuk sampel A = 101,8 mg/kg, N = 8,2 mg/kg, O = 0 mg/kg dan M = 81,6 mg/kg.</p><p>Kesimpulan : Kadar dari empat sampel tersebut terdapat 2 sampel di atas batas penggunaan zat pewarna tartrazin sesuai dengan Peraturan BPOM No.11 Tahun 2019 yaitu 70 mg/kg BB dengan kode sampel A dan M.</p><div><p><strong>Kata kunci</strong>: Tartazine, Minuman Kemasan, Spektrofotometer Visibel</p></div>
