The problem of power factor in the industry is critical. This is due to the issue of low power factor that can make the vulnerability of industrial equipment damaged. This problem has been resolved in various ways, one of which is the Automatic Power Factor Correction, with the most popular device called capacitor bank. There are also many methods used, but several methods require certain calculations so the system can adapt to the new plant. In this study, researchers proposed a capacitor bank control system that can adapt to plants with different capacitor values without using any calculations by using an Artificial Neural Network with a closed-loop controller. The system is simulated using Simulink Matlab to know the performance with two testing scenarios. The first is changing the value of the power factor on the system and changing the value of the capacitor power at each bank, the second comparing it with the conventional methods. The results show that the system has been able to adapt to different capacitor power values and has a better performance than the conventional method in power factor oscillation due to the extreme power factor interference
Abstract— In industry, conveyor is a means of transportation to move production materials. Conveyor not just move the goods but there are other processes such as counting the number of goods, filling the liquid and so forth because it is equipped with certain sensors and actuators. These processes can be automated by using PLCs as controllers by executing instruction programs in the form of ladder diagrams. The complexity of automation processes in conveyors requires the use of many relays in PLC programming and is difficult to apply to low-specification PLCs. Of course the procurement of PLC with high specifications require a lot of money. In order to overcome these problems it is necessary a method that can minimize the number of relays used so that the program becomes shorter. By using state diagram, the result of construction of ladder diagram is obtained by 32 rung and the program capacity is 3 KB.Keywords—Conveyor, Flow-Table/State Diagram, Ladder Diagram, PLC, Rung.
Menilik kondisi saat ini yang serba sulit akibat pandemi Covid-19 yang tidak kunjung mereda, telah banyak berdampak pada berbagai sektor termasuk sektor sosial, ekonomi, keagamaan ataupun kesehatan. Tentunya diperlukan usaha bersama dalam meningkatkan iman serta imunitas tubuh sehingga seluruh aspek akan kembali berjalan kearah yang lebih baik. Adapun maksud dan tujuan dari diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk berkontribusi, membantu, dan meringankan permasalahan-permasalahan yang dihadapi. Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Desa Padasuka, Kecamatan Cimenyan, Kabupaten Bandung menyajikan berbagai informasi yang diperoleh melalui wawancara ataupun observasi dari hasil tindak lanjut program yang berlangsung. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan dapat berlangsung dengan baik. Tiga hal yang menjadi fokus utama dalam kegiatan pengabdian bergerak pada upaya sosial dalam membantu masyarakat desa Padasuka bertahan hidup di tengah pandemi. Kemudian dalam bidang kesehatan yang diaplikasikan dengan bentuk peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga protokol Kesehatan. Terakhir yang juga yang tidak kalah penting yaitu dengan membangun nilai-nilai keimanan dan spiritual yang kuat, berupa terselenggaranya kegiatan keagamaan. Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan ini menjadi jalan awal terbukanya kesadaran akan pentingnya kepedulian antar masyarakat.
