In den Samen von Antiaris toxicaria LESCH. liessen sich nach fermentativem Abbau mit den sameneigenen Fermenten 34 Cardenolide nachweisen. 16 konnten nach chromatographischen Trennungeii in Kristallen isoliert werden. Von diesen liessen sich 10 mit bekannten Cardenoliden identifizieren, 6 waren neu. Ihre Struktur liess sich teilweise aufklären. ‐ Der Vergleich ergibt, dass die Samen wesentlich andere Glykoside produzieren, als sie früher im Latex derselben Pflanze gefunden wurden. Erheblich verschieden sind vor allem die Zucker. In den Samen wurden Derivate der 6‐Desoxy‐D‐allose sowie eines neuen Zuckers, der Javose gefunden.
For the alkaloids meloscine, epimeloscine and scandine, isolated from the Apocynacee Melodinus scandens FORST., the structures 1, 10 and 11, respectively, are deduced. Scandine is proved to possess the relative configuration as shown in 11 r. For meloscine and epimeloscine the relative configurations as depicted in 1 r and 10 r are discussed.

Einleitung. -In vorstehender Mitteilung wurde die Isolierung einer Reihe von Esterglykosiden aus den Wurzeln von Asclepias lilacina beschrieben, die als Lilacinoside bezeichnet wurden. Hier wird uber die bisherigen Resultate der Strukturermittlung berichtet, die aber nicht abgeschlossen ist. Es handelte sich in allen Fallen urn Glykoside, die alle mindestens einen 2-Desoxyzucker direkt am Aglykon gebunden enthielten. Bei milder saurer Hydrolyse2) trat dabei vollstandige Spaltung ein, unter Freisetzung der Genine sowie von ein bis 3 Zuckern, die sich weitgehend identifizieren liessen. Aus den erhaltenen Spaltstucken kann die Struktur der urspriinglichen Glykoside teilweise erschlossen werden. l ) 290. Mitt. : L.
