Nonsexual traumas to the male external genitalia occur mostly in 6- to 12-year-old boys, with sport accidents, kicks and falls being the major causes. Scrotal and penile lacerations and testicular contusions are the most common injuries. Complications after injuries to the male genitals in children are rare.
