The development of oil palm plantations and its expansion as well, ensured potentially give impact on the environment. A standardized environmental management system is required by companies to develop and implement environmental aspects. This research is classified as a qualitative research with a case study which emphasizes potential environmental impacts analysis of oil palm plantations and the urgency of environmental management systems in oil palm plantation management policies in North Sumatra. The research results showed that there were potential environmental impacts began pre-construction, construction and operational stages related to oil palm plantations development such as erosion, changes of sustainable and quantity of water, plant pests distribution, diseases and weeds, changes in soil fertility, potential social conflicts and the emergence of the spread of plant diseases endemic and disruption of water infiltration function in peat areas. In addition, it affected environmental factors including ecosystem condition, hydrology, landscape, and resident’s attitude around the plantation. Alternative policies which be carried out related to environmental preservation and community welfare are (1) agro-industrial development policies that process oil and palm oil waste, (2) Moratorium (temporary suspension) of illegal logging, (3) Establish policy synergies and improve communication between government agencies and institutions, (4) reduce conflicts over land freehold by reforming above the law.
Investasi di pasar modal kini menjadi salah satu alternatif investasi yang diminati oleh sebagian besar masyarakat modern khususnya perkotaan-perkotaan besar. Akses informasi dan teknologi komunikasi yang pesat membantu informasi tentang pasar modal kepada masyarakat yang berada di daerah-daerah serta mahasiswa yang berada dikampus Universitas Labuhanbatu. Dasar utama tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini guna mengukur minat kaum terdidik seperti mahasiswa dan dosen yang berada di kampus. Sasaran lain, dilakukannya penelitian ini sebagai cara untuk mengenalkan investasi Pasar Modal kepada masyarakat luas dan memperoleh informasi akurat mengenai faktor-faktor yang menjadi penghambat dalam pemahaman investasi Pasar Modal. Penelitian ini ditujukan kepada mahasiswa, dosen dan pihak eksternal kampus yang telah ikut serta melakukan investasi sebesar Rp 100.000,00 melalui Galeri Pasar Modal Universitas Labuhanbatu sejak berdiri tahun 2017 berjumlah 76 orang. Penelitian menerapkan metode yaitu nonprobability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis melalui program SPSS menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji-t parsial dan uji simultan. Berdasarkan hasil output regresi linier berganda maka dilakukan pengujian hipotesis secara parsial variabel Pendidikan (X1) sama sekali tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel Minat Investasi (Y) artinya hipotesis ditolak sedangkan variabel Pelatihan Softskill (X2) memiliki pengaruh dominan terhadap variabel Minat Investasi (Y) artinya hipotesis ditolak sedangkan secara simultan variabel Pendidikan (X1) dan Pelatihan Softskill (X2) memiliki berpengaruh terhadap variabel Minat Investasi (Y). Terakhir, melalui regresi linier sederhana diperoleh secara parsial Minat Investasi (X) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Motivasi Berinvestasi (Y).
This paper has used a comparative study for the key findings of the experimental studies. The several aspects such as the legal framework, economic, culture and macro environment are subjected to be compared to measure the main gap as the issues between theoretical legal framework and IPR administrative procedures in China. In addition, this paper includes several sources of experimental data from library, journals and Internet in order to obtain the accurate information for the comparative study.
