This chapter describes community mental health theory as the clinical rationale underpinning the creation of this neighborhood caretaker system, then demonstrates how such theoretical concepts were applied in practice to a local neighborhood. It concludes with a reflective analysis of the author's own transformative journey in creating this therapeutic street society.
