El propósito de este artículo fue evaluar el crecimiento de cuyes destetados a partir de tres sistemas de alimentación: i) integral, ii) mixto comercial y iii) mixto de granjas. Para ello, se empleó un estudio experimental, en el participaron 180 cuyes machos destetados (14 días ± 5dias), pertenecientes a dos granjas comerciales de Perú: la Granja de Cieneguilla de la Universidad Nacional de la Molina y la Granja Allin de Manchay. Se efectuó un diseño completo al azar de 3x2 para establecer el orden en que se implementaron los sistemas de alimentación, determinando la elaboración de seis tratamientos, con una frecuencia de tres repeticiones, en grupos de 10 integrantes. Los tratamientos siguieron tres combinaciones que variaron de acuerdo al genoma evaluado: (C1-alimento balanceado de granja + chala forrajera y agua) ; (C2:alimento balanceado comercial mixto+chala forrajera+agua) y (C3: alimento comercial integral+ agua).Los resultados fueron analizados a través de la prueba de Durcan, en donde se evidencia variaciones significativas entre los sistemas de evaluación en función al incremento de peso, conversión calórica, rendimiento porcentual de carcasa y el rubro económico, siendo el sistema integral y mixto, los que obtuvieron mejores resultados en todos los indicadores mencionados, por lo que se concluye que existen diferencias productivas entre la alimentación balanceada de granja y complementaria, donde este último refleja una alta rentabilidad y retribución económica en el rubro comercial agropecuario del país.
