RESUMO -A presente pesquisa dá suporte ao desenvolvimento de um biorreator rotativo para a produção de celulases por Fermentação em Estado Sólido, utilizando o fungo Myceliophtora thermophila I1D3b e empregando bagaço de cana e farelo de trigo como substratos. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a tolerância do fungo à agitação mecânica, determinando a atividade das endoglucanases produzidas em cultivos com e sem agitação. Fermentações em sacos plásticos de polipropileno foram utilizadas como referência. O equipamento utilizado foi um biorreator rotativo de 10cm de diâmetro por 20cm de comprimento, com alimentação de ar através de um tubo interno de 0,5cm de diâmetro externo e 19cm de comprimento, perfurado a cada 1cm. De forma geral, as fermentações realizadas neste equipamento revelaram que o fungo Myceliophthora termophila I1D3b é tolerante à rotação do tambor e as atividades enzimáticas obtidas foram em média superiores às dos sacos plásticos de polipropileno.
