O presente artigo discute o conceito de patriotismo em Hegel, principalmente a partir da obra Linhas Fundamentais da Filosofia do Direito, e sua interface com as diferentes concepções de patriotismo que circulavam durante a Revolução Francesa, com especial atenção para o período dos debates constituintes do Ano I. Mostra-se como o conceito de patriotismo pode ser utilizado como chave de leitura para o papel do Estado na filosofia política hegeliana e como ele ilumina a relação entre indivíduo e vida ética na obra hegeliana. O recurso à Revolução Francesa visa mostrar a proximidade entre a concepção hegeliana e um certo patriotismo revolucionário, ao mesmo tempo que mostra como esse último pode nos ajudar a operacionalização do patriotismo de Hegel em um contexto historicamente situado.
ResumoO artigo trata da relação entre cidadania, direitos políticos e democracia nos primeiros anos da Revolução Francesa, partindo do contexto em torno da convocação dos Estado Gerais em 8 de agosto de 1789 por Luís XVI e a regulamentação do voto entre os anos de 1788 e 1790. Considerando o estudo de Rosanvallon sobre a história do sufrágio da França, em Le Sacré du Citoyen, analisa-se a transição do chamado Antigo Regime para o momento revolucionário e de que maneira as questões presentes no cenário francês daquele momento podem nos ajudar a refletir sobre as problemáticas de democracia contemporânea, especialmente em torno das ideias de cidadania e igualdade, conforme pensador por Balibar e Rancière. Ciudadanía y derechos políticos durante los primeros años de la Revolución francesa (1788-1790) ResumenEl artículo trata la relación entre ciudadanía, derechos políticos y democracia en los primeros años de la Revolución francesa, partiendo del contexto en torno a la convocatoria de los Estados generales el 8 de agosto de 1789 por Luis XVI y la regulación del voto entre 1788 y 1790. Considerando el estudio de Rosanvallon sobre la historia del sufragio de Francia en Le Sacre du Citoyen, se analiza la transición del llamado Antiguo Régimen al momento revolucionario y la manera en que las cuestiones presentes en el escenario francés de aquel entonces nos pueden ayudar a reflexionar sobre los problemas de la democracia contemporánea, en especial en lo referente a las ideas de ciudadanía e igualdad, conforme a los pensadores Balibar y Rancière. Citizenship and political rights during the early years of the French Revolution (1788-1790) AbstractThe following article studies the relationship between citizenship, political rights, and democracy in the early years of the French Revolution, based on the context of Louis XVI's convocation of the Estates-General on August 8 1789 and the regulations made on voting in the period from 1788 to 1790. Based on a consideration of Rosanvallon's study on the history of suffrage in France in Le Sacre du Citoyen, the article analyzes the transition from the so-called "Ancien Regime" to the moment of revolution and discusses how the issues affecting France at that particular time may help us to reflect on the problems facing contemporary democracies, particularly in terms of ideas on citizenship and equality, according to Balibar and Rancière.
