The AIDS epidemic is considered to be the most important one occurred in the 20th century. It is still an important matter of public health and is related to multiple clinical and epidemiological factors. The objective of this study is to analyze and describe the epidemiological and clinical profile of patients with HIV who are admitted to an Emergency Unit in highly complex service, to describe the sociodemographic profile, to assess the causes of hospitalizations, clinical evolution of these patients and adherence to antiretrovirals.
