Objetivo: Determinar as complicações materno-fetal relacionadas ao número de controles pré-natais durante a gravidez. Método: Esta pesquisa é uma revisão abrangente dos artigos publicados entre dezembro de 2018 e dezembro de 2022, usando a estratégia PICO para integrar a questão da pesquisa. A pesquisa utilizou informações de revistas publicadas em Scopus (https://www.scopus.com/) e PubMed (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/), utilizando os descritores e operadores booleanos AND e OR para uma busca estratégica e eficiente. Resultados: Foi constatado que existe uma forte relação entre o número de controles pré-natais com complicações materno-fetal, estas são: Hipotonia uterina 58,1%, depressão neonatal 56%, feto pequeno para a idade gestacional 44%, hemorragia obstétrica 36%, pré-maturidade 32%, síndrome do desconforto respiratório 23% e sepse 16,9%; a porcentagem dessas complicações aumenta quando o número de controles é reduzido, ou seja, quando as mulheres grávidas têm menos de 4 controles pré-natais, e também pioram e, portanto, têm um impacto maior na saúde materna e fetal. Conclusão: Existe uma forte correlação entre a ocorrência de complicações materno-fetal e o número de controles pré-natais, uma vez que quanto mais controles pré-natais forem realizados, menor será a porcentagem de complicações.
Objetivo: Determinar a utilidade do biomarcador pré-seleção no diagnóstico e prognóstico da sepse e do choque séptico. Método: O tipo de estudo a ser realizado é uma revisão de literatura, que será composta de artigos em inglês e espanhol contendo informações relevantes para a revisão, a seleção dos artigos será feita através das bases de dados: PubMed, Sciendirect, Scopus, Taylor & Francis e Web of Science; a pesquisa será realizada com os termos do Medical Subject Headings (MesH) da Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina e descritores em ciências da saúde (DeCS) da Bireme; para a escolha dos estudos serão aplicados critérios de inclusão e exclusão, sendo dos mais importantes que estejam dentro do período 2018-2022. Resultados: Concluiu-se que a presepsina pode ser usada como um biomarcador capaz de diagnosticar precocemente sepse e choque séptico, pois os valores séricos são mais altos dependendo da gravidade da condição. Além disso, é importante notar que com relação às sensibilidades e especificidades, foram encontradas curvas ROC entre 0,688-1 em adultos, e 0,887-099 em adultos. Conclusão: A presepsina é muito útil no diagnóstico e prognóstico de pacientes com sepse e choque séptico, pois seus valores séricos permitiram a diferenciação entre sepse e choque séptico. Também é importante destacar seu valor prognóstico, onde foi possível correlacionar que quanto maiores os níveis de presepsina, maior a porcentagem de não sobreviventes, enquanto que quanto menores os valores de presepsina, maior a taxa de sobrevivência.
