Bu araştırmada okul öncesi öğretmenlerin otizm spektrum bozukluğu bilgileriyle problem davranışlardan rahatsız olma düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç kapsamında araştırmanın verileri İzmir İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı resmi/özel okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında ve özel eğitim & rehabilitasyon merkezlerinde çalışan okul öncesi öğretmenlerinden 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz döneminde toplanmıştır. Araştırmaya özel eğitim ve rehabilitasyon merkezinde çalışan 48, genel eğitim kurumlarında çalışan 154 olmak üzere toplam 202 okul öncesi öğretmeni katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu Bilgi Ölçeği, Hizmet ve Uygulama Seçenekleri Anketi ve Sınıf İçi Rahatsız Edici Davranışlar Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS-25 programında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucundan elde edilen bulgulara göre her iki kurumda çalışan okul öncesi öğretmenlerin otizm spektrum bozukluğu bilgileriyle problem davranışlardan rahatsız olma düzeyleri arasında herhangi bir ilişki tespit edilmezken, otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan çocukların eğitiminde kullanılan strateji, yöntem ve teknikler konusunda farkındalıklarında olumlu yönde anlamlı düzeyde bir ilişki olduğu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca özel eğitim & rehabilitasyon merkezlerinde çalışan okul öncesi öğretmenlerin otizm spektrum bozukluğu bilgi düzeylerinin genel eğitim kurumlarında çalışan okul öncesi öğretmenlerin bilgi düzeylerinden daha yüksek olduğu, özel eğitim ve rehabilitasyon merkezlerinde çalışan okul öncesi öğretmenlerin otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan çocukların eğitiminde kullanılan strateji, yöntem ve teknikler konusunda farkındalık düzeylerinin genel eğitim kurumlarında çalışan okul öncesi öğretmenlerinkinden daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur.
