Amaç: Çalışma, Miyokart İnfarktüsü (Mİ) geçiren hastalara bakım verenlerin bakım verme yükü ve hastalığa psikososyal uyumları arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmek amacıyla planlanmıştır. Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı-kesitsel nitelikteki araştırma Kasım 2015-Ocak 2016 tarihler arasında bir üniversite hastanesinin Kardiyoloji kliniğinde, miyokart infarktüsü(MI) tanısı ile tedavi gören hastalara bakım veren ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 200 kişi ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler; "Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu (TBF), Bakım Verme Yükü Ölçeği (BVYÖ) ve Hastalığa Psikososyal Uyum-Öz Bildirim Ölçeği (PAIS-SR) ile toplanmıştır. Tanımlayıcı veriler için sayı yüzde dağılımı, değişkenler arası ilişkiyi değerlendirmek için korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Bakım verenlerin %72.5'i ilk-orta öğrenim mezunu olup, %34'ü ev hanımı ve %60'ı hastanın eşidir. Bakım verenlerin bakım verme yükü ölçek puan ortalaması ve hastalığa psikososyal uyum toplam ve alt ölçek puan ortalamaları ortalamanın altında bulunmuştur. İki değişken arasındaki ilişki değerlendirildiğinde "Sağlık Bakımına Oryantasyon" alt ölçeği dışındaki (p>0.05) tüm alt ölçek (Aile Çevresi, Sosyal Çevre, Psikolojik Disstres, Mesleki Çevre, Seksüel İlişki ve Geniş Aile İlişkileri) puan ortalamaları ile bakım verme yükü ölçek puan ortalaması arasında ilişki bulunmuştur (p<0.05). Sonuç: Akut olarak yaşanan Miyokart İnfarktüsü sonrası bu bireylere bakım verenlerin düşük düzeyde sıkıntı hissettikleri, hastalık sürecine psikososyal uyumlarının orta düzeyde iyi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, bakım vermekten dolayı hissettikleri sıkıntı arttıkça, sağlık bakımına oryantasyonları hariç, hastalığa psikososyal (aile, sosyal, mesleki çevre, seksüel ve psikolojik) uyumları bozulmaktadır.
