Öz 2019 yılı sonunda Çin de başlayan COVID-19 enfeksiyonu resmi kayıtlara göre 10 Nisan itibariyle 185 ülkede görülen bir pandemi durumundadır. Hastalığın resmi bir tedavisi bulunmadığından, daha önce vakaların görüldüğü ülkelerin bilgilerinden yararlanılmaktadır. 10 Mart 2020 tarihinde Türkiye'de ilk vaka kayıt altına alınmıştır. Önceki ülkelerdeki vaka durumunun seyrinden hareketle alınacak tedbirler ve uygulamalara karar verilmektedir. Şu ana kadar birçok resmi kaynak veri kaydını düzenli olarak yapmaktadır. Elde edilen bu verilerden hareketle ülkemizdeki durumun ortaya konması yapılacak çalışmalara ışık tutacaktır. Bu çalışmada Türkiye ve 22 farklı ülke çeşitli istatistikler bakımından karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın devamında ülkemizdeki seyrin durumunu tahmin etmek için büyüme eğrileri ve zaman serisi analizinden faydalanılmıştır. İlk bir aylık verilerden hareketle elde edilen tahminler sonucunda toplam vaka sayısının ve toplam ölüm sayısının öngörülmesinde Üstel düzleştirme (Box-Cox) yönteminin kullanılmasının uygun olacağı belirlenmiştir.
ÖzKısa süreli bellek, kodlanan bilgilerin geçici olarak depolandığı yer olmakla birlikte bu bilgiler sonraki aşamada çalışma belleğine kayıt edilir. Zihinsel olarak tekrar edilen bilgiler bellekte uzun süre kalmaktadır. Okuma becerisi ile kısa süreli bellek ilişkisini ele alan çalışmalar, daha çok çalışma ve kısa süreli bellek süreçleri ile okuduğunu anlama arasındaki ilişkiyi inceleyen çalışmalardır. Bu çalışmada, kısa süreli belleğe gelen bilgiler ile bu belleğin çalışmasını etkileyen değişkenler arasında ilişki regresyon modeli ile araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, çocuklarda kısa süreli belleği etkileyeceği düşünülen yaş, IQ (zeka derecesi) ve okuma becerisi arasındaki ilişkiyi regresyon analizi yardımıyla kurmaktır. Regresyon Analizi varsayımlarından bir tanesi hata terimlerinin dağılımının sabit varyansa sahip normal dağılım olmasıdır. Bu çalışmada hata terimleri dağılımının normal dağılım göstermediği durumlarda etkin sonuçlar veren sağlam regresyon teknikleri tanıtılmış ve uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca her bir teknik için bağımsız değişkenlerin bağımlı değişkeni açıklama oranları verilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, yaş, IQ ve okuma becerisindeki artış, kısa süreli bellek üzerinde artışa neden olmaktadır. Sağlam regresyon teknikleri uygulandıktan sonra yaş, IQ ve okuma becerisi değişkenlerinin kısa süreli anlık bellek değişkenini açıklama yüzdesi en yüksek değerini Winsorized En Küçük Kareler Tekniği (WLS) vermiştir.
ÖzTürkiye'de meydana gelen trafik kazaları, sebep oldukları maddi/manevi kayıplar sebebiyle gündemin ilk sırasında olma durumunu korumaktadır. Trafik kazaları, insan, yol, araç, iklim, çevre koşulları gibi birçok etkenin bir araya gelmesi sonucu oluşmaktadır. Trafik kazaları sonucu, telafi edilebilen kazalar olabileceği gibi, telafisinin olanaksız olduğu kazalar da olabilmektedir. Trafik kazalarının sayısını ve etkilerini en aza indirebilmek için genel olarak kazaya sebep olan etkenlerin tespit edilip ortadan kaldırılması gerekmektedir. Trafik kazalarına neden olan etkenlerin belirlenebilmesi için geçmiş kaza verilerinden yararlanılmaktadır. Kaza analizinde önemli olan var olan durumun model yardımıyla doğru bir şekilde sınıflandırılmasıdır. Trafik kazaları için literatür çalışmaları incelendiğinde, genel olarak diskriminant analizi, lojistik regresyon analizi ve logaritmik doğrusal modellerin kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada 2012 ile 2016 yılları arasında Antalya ili ve ilçelerinde sonucu ölümlü, yaralanmalı olarak gerçekleşen 3181 trafik kazası ele alınmıştır ve makine öğrenme yöntemleri kullanılarak trafik kazalarının sınıflandırılması yapılmıştır. Ele alınan makine öğrenme yöntemlerinin performansları çeşitli ölçütlere göre karşılaştırılması sonucunda kaza verilerini en yüksek doğrulukla sınıflandıran yöntemin Naive Bayes olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
