The article presents the results of the reconstruction of the yield of grain crops of the economy of the Volchikhinsky district of the Altai Territory (south of Western Siberia) on the basis of an extended tree-ring chronology until 1822. Based on the restored series, the cyclical nature of cereal productivity was analyzed. In particular, the 22-, 25-, and 27-year cycles are highlighted as the most significant. The increase in the amplitude of variability of the yield series was noted by year from the middle of the 19th century to the end of the 20th century.
The article deals with an actual topic related to the research of problems in the field of historical and cultural heritage with the use of geoinformation technologies. In connection with the growing interest on the part of professional communities and tourist traffics to museum institutions, their history, the legacy that they preserve, it becomes necessary to present information about it in a compact format, reflecting the main content, and provide free access to such resource. The research is interdisciplinary in nature due to methods and technologies, first of all geoinformation systems (GIS) which bring significant prospects in the research of the humanitarian sphere. Foreign experience of applying GIS in studying the museum heritage demonstrates the high interest of the scientific community to this problem. Many projects are carried out at a high professional level with cooperation of museum staff, historians and specialists in the field of information technology. This allowed us to obtain a quality product that is convenient for use. In Russia there is an experience of learning the historical and cultural heritage with the use of GIS, but the development of museum GIS is isolated. Permanent transformation of the museum network in Russia and in regions requires the collection of complex information and its systematization for the subsequent presentation as a possible basis for studying the museums themselves, the historical and cultural heritage that they save, for the exchange of experience of museum employees, and for tourists. Creation of GIS “Museum network of the Altai Territory” provides such opportunities. Its development is carried out on the basis of a wide range of sources, with including on the database, with including museums of educational institutions, departmental museums, information about which is difficult to obtain. GIS will allow to recreate the chronology of the creation of museums by using the visualization methods, the formation of their profile groups, to assess the source material potential of museum collections at the level of expositions, and to develop tourist routes.
The article discusses a relevant topic related to the study and popularization of regional tourism by means of geoinformational technologies. In connection with the growing interest from the state and regional authorities, this issue is raised in the context of socio-economic and cultural development. An important aspect of this is the development of educational tourism routes, aimed, inter alia, the promotion of historical and cultural heritage of the region. The study is focused on the interdisciplinary nature of the work due to the application of methods and technologies, primarily geoinformational systems (GIS), which are focused on reflecting the spatial features of objects. Foreign and domestic researchers are using GIS technology to create a tourist-recreational type of software product that reflects the infrastructure needed in this industry. Some of the completed projects are available online. The Altai Territory has great prospects in terms of the development of educational tourism. GIS “Museum Network of the Altai Territory” allows you to identify the typology, group affiliation and cognitive capabilities of the museum network of the region, take into account the spatial distribution of objects relative to existing tourist routes. Taking into account the existing recreational opportunities of the territory, the GIS toolkit allows you to identify the potential for developing new tourist routes with the inclusion of museums, positioning museums as objects for independent visits by tourists located in recreation areas adjacent to museums. Final target of the project involves online access to GIS and thematic maps. This will allow receiving up-to-date information on tourist routes, museums, as potential objects of visit, and will make it possible to build a route taking into account the individual needs of tourists.
The article discusses the contribution of peasant (farmer) farms to the crop industry of the Altai Region. The paper estimates a share of the production of grain crops and sunflower, as well as analyzes the differentiation of these indicators within the region and the zonal change of the main indicators of farm activity.
The tourism industry in Russia is currently a promising development. One of the directions of its development is scientific tourism, which is not very popular, in contrast to the natural, cultural and educational areas. However, the analysis of theoretical and applied research in this area demonstrates some accumulated regional experience and significant potential. The purpose of the article is to analyze the possibilities for the development of scientific tourism in the Altai Territory and the Altai Republic using an interdisciplinary approach, based on the reconstruction of historical routes and their repetition to solve research goals and objectives. Mostly scientific tourism develops only in the format of field student practices. Despite the prospects of directions (ecological, geological, botanical, archaeological), scientific tourism among a wide audience is little popularized and practiced. Using the methods of historical science (historical analysis, concrete historical method), as well as the cartographic method and GIS technologies, the reconstruction of the routes of researchers who made scientific expeditions through the territories of the Altai Territory and the Altai Republic in the 18th — early 20th centuries was carried out. As a result, it was found that an interdisciplinary approach allows enriching the study, its results, attracting specialists from various fields, as well as tourists who are interested in specific scientific areas. In addition, this approach will make it possible to compare historical facts with newly discovered scientific discoveries, trace the development of processes and territories over two centuries, and also introduce the names of scientists who have made a significant contribution to the study of the territory in a historical context.
