Previous decades saw a new type of housing format emerge in Ukraine – namely, residential complexes (RC). Following ongoing integration with European Union, Ukraine becomes included in a global stage of urbanization process, therefore accepting all positive and negative consequences of this stage. From the point of structure and planning, it means the formation of largest global world cities with their peculiar organization, and the appearance of multifunctional complexes, which constitute a specific structure of «city within a city» and subsequently form megalopolis, an urban system of highest hierarchy, from its base.
Анотація. В статті розглядається сучасний стан та перспективи розвитку приміських поселень великих міст України. На прикладі смт Пісочин Харківського району сформульовані актуальні проблеми та визначені фактори конкурентних переваг селища, які пов'язані з його розташуванням. Для подальшого стратегічного розвитку такого типу поселень запропоновано концепцію створення сталих структурних елементів, у вигляді багатофункціональних висотних комплексів, які входять до єдиної підсистеми великого міста та розміщуються на прилеглих територіях.Ключові слова: приміські території, буферна зона міста, багатофункціональний висотний комплекс. Abstract: The article deals with the current state and prospects of development of suburban settlements of large cities of Ukraine. On the example of Pisochyn urban village, Kharkiv district, actual problems are formulated and factors of competitive advantages of the settlement related to its location are identified. For the further strategic development of this type of settlements, the concept of creating permanent structural elements, in the form of multifunctional high-rise complexes, which are included in a single subsystem of a large city and located in adjacent territories, is proposed.
