Introdução: A fisioterapia cardiorrespiratória é atualmente uma intervenção eficaz em pacientes em unidades de terapia intensiva, visando o processo de reabilitação e restauração do desempenho funcional. Objetivo: pontar quais os benefícios da fisioterapia cardiorrespiratória na reabilitação do paciente em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva, de acordo com as evidências da literatura científica. Metodologia: foi realizado uma revisão integrativa, dos materiais científicos, publicados em revistas indexadas, entre os anos de 2014 a 2022, tendo como referência as bases de dados: Banco de dados de evidências em fisioterapia (PEDro), PubMed, e Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), salientando-se o que tem de mais atual sobre o tema desta discussão. Conclusão: Verificou-se que, a atuação do fisioterapeuta dentro da UTI junto a pacientes com comprometimentos cardiorrespiratórios é fundamental para promover a saúde cardiovascular.
