Das vorgestellte Projekt untersucht verschiedene Hydroprocessing-Katalysa-toren bei den Reaktionsbedingungen der FT-Synthese (Partialdrucke von H 2 , CO, H 2 O, Kohlenwasserstoffe). Am In-stitut für Chemische Verfahrenstechnik werden zunächst verschiedene HP-Kata-lysatoren mit Modellkomponenten un-ter FT-Bedingungen getestet. Am Eng-ler-Bunte-Institut werden FT-Versuche und kombinierte FT/HP-Experimente in einem Festbettreaktor durchgeführt, wo-bei verschiedene Größen wie Tempera-tur und Verweilzeit systematisch variiert werden. Die im Integralreaktor gemes-senen Umsätze und Selektivitäten er-möglichen eine formalkinetische Aus-wertung der ablaufenden Reaktionen. Zurzeit wird Ni-ZSM5 als HP-Katalysa-tor mit Modellkomponenten und in Kombination mit dem FT-Katalysator untersucht. Ein direkter Vergleich der Ergebnisse mit früheren Versuchen mit Pt-ZSM5 zeigt den Einfluss der Hydrier-komponente. Offenzellige Schaumkeramik wird am Fraunhofer-Institut für Keramische Tech-nologien und Systeme in Dresden ent-wickelt und getestet. Forschungsziel ist die Entwicklung eines Katalysatorsystems zur Realisierung eines Reformers für ein Hochtemperatur-Brennstoffzellensystem. Die Temperaturbeständigkeit von Sili-ziumcarbid erlaubt den Einsatz der Schäume im Temperaturbereich bis 1200 °C. Durch die katalytische Funktio-nalisierung der Schaumoberfläche wird ein Katalysatorsystem erzeugt, in dem die Einzelschritte der katalytischen Reaktion ablaufen können. Die Beschichtung der Schäume mit einer Aktivkomponente wird durch das Verfahren der Porenvo-lumenimprägnierung erreicht. Schaum-keramiken besitzen eine hohe offene Porosität von bis zu 90 %. Bei der experi-mentellen Untersuchung der partiellen Oxidation von Methan wurde in einem Versuchsreaktor ein kleinerer Druckver-lust gegenüber einer Referenzwabe ge-messen. Die hervorragende Wärmeleit-fähigkeit (100 W/mK) der offenzelligen Schaumkeramik verstärkt zudem die Wär-meleitung über die Stege der porösen Struktur. Durch eine räumliche Struktu-rierung des Katalysatorsystems kann der Transport thermischer Energie im Reak-tionsraum und über die Reaktorgrenzen gesteuert werden. Die untersuchten Kata-lysatorsysteme aus Schaumkeramik er-möglichen eine Prozessintensivierung bei gleichbleibender Produktqualität.
